Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

“My brothers, show no partiality as you adhere to the faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.” James 2:1

We should show no favoritism to those we serve or in how we serve. All of our talents are equally important, no matter how humble. Our small acts of kindness to others make more of a difference than our grandiose ef-forts.

Advertisers of the Week . . . Did you know?

Our bulletin is provided to our parish by Diocesan at NO COST! The advertisers that you see on

the back of the bulletin purchase ads that

cover the cost of our bulletin. We are very

grateful to all of them. We encourage you to

look at the many advertisers in our bulletin.

Patronize their businesses and let them

know you appreciate their support.

Please Pray for the Sick

Please contact the STA parish office at 270-692-3019 to place a person on the prayer list or re-quest for a person to continue on the prayer list. Out of respect for each person, please ask the individual prior to placing them on our prayer list. For those who suffer from illness of any sort and for their families, we pray they may experience the healing power of Jesus. Please let con-tact the parish office with any corrections or updates.

In Memoriam

Please remember Marion

Fabian Buckman, whose

Funeral Mass was cele-

brated in our parish

community. Please re-

member his family in

prayer.

The recent earthquake in Haiti, California wildfires, and other natural disasters have caused massive de-struction and displacement. We can assist our broth-ers and sisters affected by disasters in 2021 through monetary donations that will be used to support the efforts of Catholic Charities and/or Catholic Relief Services as these official relief agencies of the Church provide emergency and long-term assistance to those in need. Funds also will be directed to pasto-ral and reconstruction needs of the Church should they arise. Please make checks payable to Catholic Charities of Louisville and include the notation: 2021 Disaster Relief. Checks can be turned into the parish or sent to Catholic Charities of Louisville, 2911 S. 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40208-1303. This special collection will be take up at masses this weekend, September 4/5.

Catholic Higher Education

The weekend of September 18/19, our parish will take

up the annual collection for Catholic higher education.

Catholic colleges and universities strive to form stu-

dents in the spirit of faith and educate them in the

richness of the Catholic intellectual tradition. This col-

lection supports the Catholic University of America as

well the two Catholic universities in our Archdio-

cese—Spalding University and Bellarmine University.

Please be generous.
