Apology. Tim and Colin. Raffle is circulating. Rotary presidents meeting. MUNA is to be held in Parliament House in Sydney. We can sponsor teams. Winners go to Canberra and than from there the winning school competes overseas in international competition. Dinner to fund bus for students from under privileged inner city area to so to high school on Balmain. Bowelscan. Starting soon Rotary centurion program. Please try and fill boxes and donate $100.00 to . Walter was acknowledged as ongoing donor. Polio plus program under way. At the moment only Pakistan and Afghanistan still afflicted. Polio badge available tonight for $2. Other Rotary Clubs are for High school , Interact club at Strathfield girls, but now transferred to Strathfield. And Rotaract Club. Sergeants session. Selling polio badges two for three dollars.

Pres elect pp Keith Weeding welcome visitors and students. Often meet many fantastic students and tonight will be no exception, Polio plus went to President elect training on the weekend and the eradication of polio is expected to be complete in 2016 and 2017 with World Health Organisation and Gates Foundation,

Read Rotary New Generation Statement. New Generations refers to the youngest generation in the family of Rotary. Many are participants in Rotary’s youth and young adult programs: Interact, Rotaract, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), and Rotary Youth Exchange. Others are service minded young people involved in Rotary club and district activities. Past RI President Luis Vicente Giay coined the term New Generations

A copy of NYSF attendee Tammy Coe's report of her participation is on the tables tonight. It was published in last weeks Spoke. Unfortunately she can't be here tonight and sends an apology.

Strathfield South High School. Mrs Shahettin thanked the club, for generous funding. Eighteen of their students attended the Science program at UTS. We sponsored four students who are here tonight. She introduced Rohan, Alan, Mohammad and Asman. Power point Presentation by the Students of the UTS ConocoPhillips Science Experience held last December. There were various workshops. Bio luminescence production of light by organisms, mathematical Workshop. And crime workshops, re blood, fingerprints and visualisation of crime scenes. Thanked the club for sponsorship and they presented a certificate of appreciation to Keith,

Mrs Shahettin is also the refugee coordinator and introduced Mocktal. He wants to pursue a soccer career but needs sponsorship. He is from Afghanistan, wants to play for Australia and is a goal keeper for Bankstown Berries Club and my be chosen for an A League club. He needs assistance, He is in year 12 at the moment. He need money to pay club fees, His parents have raised $500 and teachers $300, but he needs $2400.00. She is requesting assistance, He also does work at the Refugee camps with the Children. Pres Peter suggested he could apply for a Blain award. Sam raised $300 from Fellows sitting at his table and presented to Moctar.

Rob Whitney introduced NYSF. Hon Quentin Bryce was patron. He read statement from her praising the NYSF programme. Introduced Eda and Victoria. A power point presentation

NYSF. Thanked rotary , had not heard of Rotary as a community group. At NYSF did various workshops, science and medicine and food technology. Did labs and visited various farms, did DNA labs. Opening ceremony was at Parliament House where the y debated a mock law bill, Diversity of teachers and presenters from different professions, nano technology, presentation vis SKYPE from a scientists at the collider in Switzerland. Visited shine dome at ANU and David Caldicott spoke about medical marijuana. Various dinners, met Nobel Prize winner Brian Smith.

Made friend with Staffers, and we're very helpful, only a few years older than they were, Young people teaching young people, teaching youth is the strength of the program. Went to Questicon which was fantastic to end the program, Thanked the RC Burwood and especially Rob, funding really helped, Questions: They both feel it changed their future career choices. Keith thanked them for the presentations, pp David Wright introduced RYLA attendees. Joseph Awad thanked club, Program taught us about friendship, met 71 new friends, sport and outdoor activities, stayed up late and up early, helped him make up his mind as to what he wants to study,Toast masters was great program, Thanks to Rotary.

Karthic Sunserasan studying engineering at UTS. Four day course on to present project aligned with rotary aims, seven gross of ten people, presented on mental health and the won. Different people from different backgrounds has inspired him to join Rotaract for more community involvement. RYLA changes people, it was effective in changing his outlook on life. Has 71 new friends, all very supportive. It was truly a life changing experience.

Timothy Butler just finished his commerce degree. A friend convinced him to go to RYLA. Possible from group, to come together and grow and change the world. Thanks to Rotary

Paul Bailey Secretary of RYLA commented on the RYLA international program for young people aged eighteen to twenty five.

Unfortunately no one from Rotaract could come this evening. pp David Wright described what they do, basically a separate organisation but connected to Rotary. They have own programmes as well as combine with Rotary, such as PRISCA , have a Trivia night, raised about $3K for “Mates for Mates”, Prince William program for Returned Solders. Used to be geographical clubs but now often university based. Pp Peter acknowledged David and Helen Wright for years of service to RYLA .and Rotaract,

Keith thanked guests for attending, thanked presenters. Pres Peter commented we have a bright future with these young people. Thanked teachers, thanked Keith and Robert. Raffle drawn. Close with Nat anthem
