Club Meeting - Friday February 15, 2013 That was a guest speaker meeting
Meeting statistics:
Attendance: 29 Rotarians 64%, 1 Visiting Rotarian
8 Rotaractors, 32 guests
Acting Sergeant Rot. Chester raised $ 117.50
and the raffle yielded $ 150 .00
The raffle donated by PP. Azmina was won by VP Charly
who donated the prize again to the Rotary fellowship bar

World Rotaract Week March 10-16, 2013 Rotaract Club of Saint Lucia
The week of activities ended on Saturday March 16 with a Seminar on “Building a Passion for Peace”
held at the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School. In attendance were students from the Interact Clubs
at Babonneau Secondary School, Sir Ira Simmons Secondary School, the Saint Joseph’s Convent and the
Saint Mary’s College.
World Rotaract week was held under the motto

PP Albert put together an amazing presentation
with just 15 minutes notice __________________
PE Doddy presented on law environment and peace
Other presenters were Mrs. Onel Sanford-Belle of DBS

There were also several excellent presentations from Rotaractors
And of course ice breakers like the #7 game
At the end every student received a Peace certificate of participation and it could not have been a better spent day

At this meeting GSE participant Ms. Lavorne Verdant
shared her experiences made in England
In her powerpoint presentation she introduced the rest of the GSE Team and shared
stories and photos from her 4 weeks visit to the heart of England.
The hands of Lavorne had members listen attentively throughout her presentation
Babonneau water tank update
The water tank has left the UK and is expected to arrive in Saint Lucia Saturday March 23, 2013.
All funds have been received from The Rotary Foundation and the payment in the amount of $ 38,377.80
was made to WASCO on Tuesday for them to start their work on connections, lines etc. in preparation for
the flow of water from the tank in late April early May.
A date for the official handing over ceremony has been tentatively set for the last weekend in May and AG
Tim and PP Lisle are in the final stages of planning the ceremony and fellowship.
