Skate spots are few and far between in the area of Reading. They are either in no fit condition to skate or guarded by security. It’s never easy - skaters all
around Reading struggle to find spots to chill and skate without any bother.

A High Time Skating Reading
ABOVE LEFT & RIGHT: Among the streets of Reading there are a few stair sets for us skaters to skate on. During the afternoon hours of the week though, we’re lucky if we last get 5 minutes at this spot - thanks to the security office right next to it. There’s a great little nine set just round the corner where well known skaters have come and skated the rails.
ABOVE: There is one skate park in the heart of Reading - just on the outskirts of town. Although it is a great park most of the time it is ruled by BMXers. It’s got a range of features like quarters, spine, death box and a grind box. If you know the right time to go skate this park it’s a fantastic way to warm up before a day of skating.
ABOVE: Just down the road and round the corner there’s a nice little gap right next to the road. Although a challenging spot it’s well worth persevering until you get the trick down. This spot has featured in one of the many Cliché videos as well as in a Blueprint edit.
RIGHT: Taking the train from Reading to Winnersh triangle station is a must. When you leave the station you are smack in front of a huge business park - it has gaps, ledges and banks to ride. Definitely a no go zone when people are working though An amazing skate spot when everyone’s gone home if you can manage to hide from security.

I liked eco-star the first time i saw them on the web. What they stand for - and the clothes they make are amazing. It’s great that eco-friendly clothing can look good enough to actually skate in...
Being involved with spreading the eco-star name in skating is a great thing to be doing.
