KENNEL CLUB REGULATIONS Extract from Reg FIf an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which is ineligible, theexhibitor may choose one of the following options:-(1) Withdrawal The dog may be withdrawn from competition subject to the conditions of Regulations 9(j) and 20.(2) Transfer
(a) If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its breed, colour, sex, weight or height the Show Secretaryshall transfer it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height or, in theevent of there being no equivalent class, Minor Puppy class or Puppy class excepted, to the Open class for thecorrect breed, colour, sex, weight or height.
(b) For an exhibit entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy Class, Puppy Class or Junior Class, which is over age butunder 12 calendar months of age, 18 calendar months of age or 24 calendar months of age respectively, theShow Secretary shall transfer the exhibit to the Puppy Class, Junior Class or Yearling Class respectively for thecorrect breed, colour, sex, weight or height and in the event of there being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling Class, tothe Open Class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height.
(c) For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open Class for the correctbreed, colour, sex, weight or height.
(d) If an exhibit arrives late and misses a class, even if it is the only class in which the dog is entered, the dog maynot be transferred to any other class.

RULES & REGULATIONSVICIOUS DOGS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AND MUST NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE SHOW.
EXHIBITORS ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE BY THEIR DOGS DURING THE EXHIBITION.1 The show will open at 7 a.m. daily.2 Dogs will be received at any time but it is entirely the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that exhibits do not miss their
classes regardless of any PROVISIONAL times of judging of individual breeds which might be published beforehand.3 Judging will commence at 9.30 a.m. unless otherwise notified or published in Our Dogs and Dog World.4 The Show will close half an hour after all the judging has been completed. Exhibits may be removed from the show after
their judging has been completed. Exhibits may not be removed any earlier unless by written order of the VeterinarySurgeon, Veterinary Practitioner or of the Show Management and then only in very exceptional and unforeseencircumstances which must be reported to the Kennel Club. Exhibits must be removed from their benches by 6 p.m. or whentheir judging is completed, whichever is the later.

6 Prize money will not be paid except where specifically stated elsewhere in the schedule.7 The Committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries.8 Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the Show are ineligible for exhibition.9 The mating of bitches within the precincts of the show is forbidden.
10 Best Puppy in ShowWhere a Best Puppy in Show competition is scheduled the Best Puppy in Show is a puppy which has competed and hasbeen declared Best Puppy in Breed, Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified Puppy or Best Any Variety Imported BreedRegister Puppy. A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.Where the Best of Breed, Best in Group or Best in Show is a puppy it should automatically be awarded Best Puppy inBreed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively. Similarly, if the Reserve Best of Breed, Reserve Bestof Group or Reserve Best in Show is a puppy which has only been beaten by an adult dog it should also automatically beBest Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively. Consequently, selection of Best Puppyin Breed, Best in Group and Best Puppy in Show must follow the selection of Best of Breed and Best in Show respectively.(a) Shows Judged on the Group System

11 Best in ShowThe dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and has been declared Best of Breed, Best Any Variety NotSeparately Classified or Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register.(a) Shows Judged on the Group System
(1) Best of BreedWhere a breed is separately classified a Best of Breed may be declared but only from those dogs which havereceived a first prize in a breed class at the show. Where separate classes are provided for each sex of a breed aBest of each Sex must be declared.NOTE:The Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/ Best Any Variety Imported Breed Registeraward relevant to a Category 3 Breed will not be confirmed until the dog has passed an examination by theGeneral and Group Championship Show Veterinary Surgeon.
(2) Best of GroupBest of Group and subsequent Group placings must be selected from:-(a) The Best of Breed winners in each group(b) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each Group or on each day.(c) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Imported Breed Register class or classes in each Group or on each
day.NOTE: The dog declared Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/ Best Any Variety ImportedBreed Register from a breed designated by the Kennel Club as a Category 3 Breed is not eligible to compete inthe Group competition unless it has passed an examination by the Show’s Veterinary Surgeon. If the dog fails topass the examination it is ineligible to compete in the relevant Group.
(3) Best in ShowBest in Show must be selected from the Best of Group winners. Reserve Best in Show must be selected from theremaining Group winners following the selection of Best in Show.
12 Exhibits will not be admitted to Group or Best in Show competition after a period of ten minutes has elapsed since theannouncement that exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging notbeing completed on time, and then only with the special permission of the Show Management.

13 Exhibitors must not pick up dogs by their tails and leads when lifting them nor handle a dog in a manner which causes itsfeet not to touch the ground when on the move. This is not acceptable. Exhibitors should note that such practice wouldconstitute harsh handling and reports of such practice will be referred to the Committee under Kennel Club ShowRegulation F11.
14 All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F (Annex B): Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs forExhibition.
15 All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the showcan be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor.
16 Dogs in Vehicles on Hot Days: Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonablesteps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action,default, omission or otherwise. Breach of the Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board fordisciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route,
and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink.• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.• Keep the dog in the shade — take your own shade, for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water
available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time.
Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results.Please look after your dog’s welfare.WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK, FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARYWITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED.Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of theirdog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breachof Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under KennelClub Limited Rules and Regulations. Right to Refuse Entries. Exhibitors/ Competitors are reminded that show societieshave the right under Kennel Club Regulations to refuse any entry.
17 Not For Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and mustbe Kennel Club registered.
18 No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followedby advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.
19 Should any judge be prevented from fulfilling his/her engagement, the committee reserves the right to appoint a substitute.Exhibitors are at liberty to withdraw from competition, BUT NO ENTRY FEES CAN BE RETURNED.
20 No animal other than an exhibit will be allowed within the precincts of the show. Exhibits “Not for Competition” may beentered for a fee of £10, as stated above, and a notice not exceeding 10" x 5" with the dog’s name printed on it may bedisplayed over the bench {see F(1) (5) (d)}.
21 The Committee is empowered to exclude or to remove any dog which is not in a fit state for exhibition owing to disease,savage disposition, or any other cause {see Rule F(1) (15)}, and the entry fee will be forfeited.
22 Each exhibit must be brought with a suitable lead and collar so that the exhibit may be properly fastened on the benching.23 Each exhibit must be benched on the numbered bench allocated to it in the catalogue. Under no circumstances should
partitions be removed from benching.24 Special places will be provided for the cleaning, preparation and exercising of exhibits and no other place on the
showground must be used for such purposes.25 It should be distinctly understood by exhibitors and purchasers of dogs at the show and all other persons that the
Committee will not be responsible for the entire or partial loss or detention of or damage to dogs or any other propertywhether arising from accident or any other cause whatsoever or from any act or omission of themselves or their officers,servants, agents or others. It is on this understanding only that entries are accepted.
26 Gangways must be kept clear at all times. Any obstructions including dog boxes left in gangways will be removed by theShow Management.
27 Fouling. Exhibitors are reminded of Kennel Club Regulations F8 which requires removal as soon as possible of any foulingcaused by their dogs at the Show and the environs of the show ground.
28 Acknowledgement of Entries. If acknowledgement of entries is required, an addressed, stamped card must be enclosed forthe Secretary’s signature,
29 Regulations. The Show will be held under Kennel Club Limited Rules and Regulations. All rules and regulations ordefinitions or instructions in the nature of rules and regulations printed for convenience in other parts of this schedule shallbe deemed to form part of these Rules and Regulations.
30 Should any question arise which is not provided for in these Regulations the decision of the Committee shall be final,subject to appeal to the Kennel Club.
31 All entries must be made on or before Monday, 25th June 2018 (Postmark), or online by midday on Wednesday 4thJuly 2018.
32 Exhibitors will receive one free pass (not transferable) for each dog entered but in the case of a partnership, an additionalpass will be provided.
33 Cancellation or Abandonment: Entry fees will not be refunded in any circumstance where any act of God or any otherunforeseen reason causes the cancellation or abandonment of the show after entries have closed.
34 Photography & Video Rights: The Organisers would like to bring the regulation on photography and filming to theattention of exhibitors, trade stands, press and visitors.It is a condition of all those attending the event that no filming or other form of recording may be taken or made at the venue

without express written permission of the organisers. The taking of photographs in the show venue for sale or reward isstrictly prohibited except with the written permission of the Organisers. Press accredited photographers are provided withpermission to take photographs ONLY for use in newspapers, magazines and internet sites – this is for news purposesonly. There is no objection to the general public taking photographs of general views of the show, provided that these arefor private use. Specific dogs may be photographed only with the approval of the exhibitor. No photography or filming ispermitted in breed judging rings whilst judging is actually taking place. However, judges may allow it to happen at the endof classes or after the Challenge Certificate is awarded. Filming and flash photography is allowed from outside the rings atall times unless the operation of the camera is actually affecting exhibits. However, if a powerful flash unit is used or it isclear that exhibits are being affected, a ring steward or the judge is empowered to stop the person concerned.
REGULATIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF DOGS FOR EXHIBITION F(B)1 These Regulations must be observed when a dog is prepared for exhibition and/or exhibited at any Kennel Club Licensed
event. Objections may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under these Show Regulations and/orfor disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rule A42.(a) A dog found to have been exhibited in breach of these Regulations will automatically be disqualified from exhibition
at the show and from any award gained thereat.(b) Unless the exhibitor provides a satisfactory explanation for the dog being exhibited in breach of these Regulations
then he/she may be subject to further penalties of either a fine or as listed under Rule 42.2 (a) No substance which alters the natural colour, texture or body of the coat may be present in the dog’s coat for any
purpose at any time during the Show. No substance which alters the natural colour of any external part of the dogmay be present on the dog for any purpose at any time during the Show.
(b) Any other substance (other than water) which may be used in the preparation of a dog for exhibition must not beallowed to remain in the coat or on any other part of the dog at the time of exhibition.
3 No act or operation which alters the natural conformation of a dog or any part thereof may be performed except:(a) Operations certified to the satisfaction of the General Committee.(b) The removal of dewclaws of any breed.(c) Operations to prevent breeding, provided that such operations are notified to the Kennel Club before neutered dogs
are shown.Nor must anything be done calculated to in the opinion of the General Committee to deceive.
4 The General Committee without previous notice may order an examination of any dog or dogs at any Show. Anyexamination thus ordered will be made by a person having executive authority who shall have a written directive from theKennel Club in their possession. Samples may be taken for further examination and analysis.
5 An individual has the right to lodge an objection to a dog only if he/she is the owner or handler of a dog competing in thesame breed or class, an objection may, however, be lodged by an official of the Show or by anyone so deputed by theKennel Club. It will be the responsibility of the individual who lodges the objection or the official (as appropriate) tosubstantiate the grounds for the objection. The Kennel Club will substantiate the grounds for an objection made on itsbehalf.
6 Any objection by an individual related to an infringement of these Regulations must be made in writing to the ShowSecretary at his/her office before the close of the Show and the individual must produce evidence of identity at the time oflodging the complaint.
DEFINITION OF CLASSESKC Reg F(A)
In the following definitions, a Challenge Certificate includes any Show award that counts towards the title of Championunder the Rules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club.
Wins at Championship Shows in breed classes where Challenge Certificates are not on offer shall be counted as winsat Open Shows.
In the case of a dog owned in partnership and entered in Members’ classes or competing for Members’ Specials eachpartner must at the time of entry be a member of the Society.
In estimating the number of awards won, all wins up to and including the seventh day before the date of closing ofpostal entries shall be counted when entering for any class i.e. 17 June 2018.
Wins in Variety classes do not count for entry in Breed classes but when entering in Variety classes, wins in both Breedand Variety classes must be counted. A first prize does not include a Special Prize of whatever value.
If an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which is ineligible, theexhibitor may choose one of the following options:-
(1) WITHDRAWALThe dog may be withdrawn from competition subject to the conditions of Regulation 20.
(2) TRANSFER(a) If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its breed, colour, sex, weight or height the Show Secretary shall
transfer it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height or, in the event of therebeing no equivalent class, Minor Puppy and Puppy excepted, to the Open class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weightor height.
(b) For an exhibit entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy class, Puppy class or Junior Class, which is over age but under twelvecalendar months of age, eighteen calendar months of age or 24 calendar months of age respectively, the Show Secretaryshall transfer the exhibit to the Puppy class, Junior class or Yearling Class respectively for the correct breed, colour, sex,weight or height and in the event of there being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling Class to the Open class for the correct breed,colour, sex, weight or height.

(c) For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open class for the correct breed, colour,sex, weight or height.

The firstplaced member only in each dog group at the qualifying show will qualify for Crufts. A rosette will be awarded. If a memberis disqualified, the qualification does not roll down to the next placing. All pedigree dogs are eligible to take part provided thedog is registered on the Kennel Club Breed Register. The dog must be registered a) solely or jointly in the member’s nameor b) in the name of a close member of the family (i.e. a group of people related by blood or by marriage) and under thesecircumstances the dog must be resident at the YKC member’s address. No substitute handlers are permitted — the dogmust be handled by the registered YKC member. Members are not permitted to allow another individual to show their dog atthe qualifier on their behalf if they are not able to attend the class, unless agreed by the YKC Office prior to the show.Members must be aged 6 - 24 years (members 6 years and up to, but not including 25th birthday). Please note thatmembership of the YKC terminates on a member’s 25th birthday. Therefore if a member is aged 25 years or over by the firstday of Crufts they will be unable to compete in any YKC class. Please keep this in mind when entering qualifiers throughoutthe competing year. In order to enter any YKC competition you must be a fully paid up member at the time of entry andcompetition. If you enter a Crufts qualifier and you have not previously paid your membership fee then any award will beforfeited Therefore it is important to renew and maintain YKC membership as current if you wish to participate in YKCcompetitions.
YKC HANDLING CLASSES—Only dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible forentry into an YKC qualifying class. Classes for handling are decided by the handler’s age. The classes are divided into threeage groups: 6-11 years (6 years and up to, but not including 12th birthday); 12-17 years (12 years and up to, but notincluding 18th birthday); 18-24 years (18 years and up to, but not including 25th birthday). Please enter the class agecategory you will be on the day of the qualifier. If you should move into the next age range after you have already qualified,the YKC will invite you into the correct age group at Crufts.The method for Crufts qualification is a points based system as follows: 1st Place = 30 points; 2nd Place = 15 points; 3rdPlace = 10 points. Members will receive points per group (i.e. if they handle a bloodhound, they will get points towards theHound group). If a member gets 30 points in any one group, they will qualify to enter a dog from that group at Crufts 2019.If a member gains 30 or more points in multiple groups, they may only compete with one dog at Crufts, but they will have theoption to choose from any of the groups they have 30 or more points in. All points are reset to 0 on 1st January each year.In order to enter any YKC competition, you must be a fully paid up member at the time of entry and competition. If you entera Crufts qualifier and you have not previously paid your membership fee then any award will be forfeited. NOT FOR COMPETITION — Societies may, at their discretion, accept Not for Competition entries. Societies may accept suchentries from breeds of dog not included within the title of the Society and at Shows held over more than one day, suchentries may be accepted on any day from the breed.

KENNEL CLUB BREEDERS’ COMPETITION—Each team will consist of a minimum of three and maximum of four dogs of onebreed, all bred by the same breeder or breeding partnership. The breeder enters the class and then arranges which dogsare exhibited on the day of the show (from those dogs duly entered for exhibition in another class at this show). Pleaseclearly state the name and affix of the registered breeder(s). Entries will not be taken on the day of the show. Teams will beawarded points/prize money in the KC Breeders’ Competition as follows: Points 1st; 30; 2nd 15; 3rd 10; 4th 5. Prize Money1st Non ABS Prize Fund £20; ABS Prize Fund £25. Please note that Assured Breeders will be credited with a higher prizevalue. These points will be recorded in the Kennel Club Breeders Competition record book through the year. The minimumqualification for the Crufts final will be 50 points, with a maximum of 40 finalists including the winning teams from theEuropean and World Dog Shows’ breeders competition. Our Dogs will collate the points and publish a leader board throughthe year.

NOTICE TO CARAVANNERSThe £48 caravan fee covers the period from Thursday to Monday. The RWAS will make a daily charge of £12 pernight for caravans on the ground before or after the stated period. NO CARAVANS WILL BE ADMITTED BYTHE RWAS BEFORE 6 AUGUST 2018.Electrical hook-ups will be available on a first come first served basis. The cost will be £43 per hook-up plus £2per day electricity charge.Regulations state that caravans must be 25 ft apart. Failure to comply with this rule will result in owners having toremove their unit to another location. Under no circumstances are caravan spaces to be reserved for peoplearriving later. Security staff will carry out periodic inspections to ensure that this regulation is being complied with.GENERATORS - Fuel must be stored in a suitable container It must be stored away from the generator and anyother possible sources of ignition. Filling of generators must only be carried out when the generator is cool and acorrect fuel funnel must be used. Any spillage of fuel must be cleaned up immediately, and prior to starting theengine. A fire extinguisher must be available and located close to the generator.Caravans will not be allowed onto the site after 10pm. Please wait outside in the holding area.There is a 5 mph speed limit on all areas of the Showground.
