What You Should Know! You must complete all assigned activities with 85% or better mastery.

All reports must be received via pony to Sharon Curington, Sheridan Technical College no later than August 21, 2015 No e-mails, No Faxes, No Exceptions

Please do not confuse the report due date, which is August 21, 2015 with the closing date, which is September 4, 2015. Your reports are due before the closing date in order for us to meet the closing date deadline.

You only need to send one copy of a report by pony it is not necessary to pony it, fax it, and e-mail it. If you follow instructions and pony the report, I will receive the report. It is also not necessary to call or e-mail me to inform me that your report is in the pony.

You will have 10 business days after the report due date to complete the appraisal. After 10 days, the class will close without any additional notification to the participant. The appraisal is available on the first day of class.

Participant ResponsibilityIt is the responsibility of the participant to make sure their reports arereceived on or before August 21, 2015. Please keep a copy of your reports.

• Once all reports have been checked, all participants for each class will be notified that “E-mails have been sent to participants confirming receipt of reports. If you have not received confirmation, please Sharon Curington”.

• Please do not wait until the class has officially closed to notify me that you did not received confirmation.

• Once the class has closed, no points will be awarded, even if you have a copy of your report.

Getting Started Click on the section you’d like to start.

Log In Enter your user name, password, and site code provided in the e-mail.

Click “Log In” to enter the course.

Upon successfully logging in, you will see your name, the course title, and assignment group(s).

After You Log-In

First Step

Your first step will be to complete a pretest. The program will determine what lessons, if any, you must do based on your pretest score.

To begin a particular pretest or activity, click on its name. The item will open up in a new window.

Completing The Course In order to successfully complete the course, you must complete all assigned items with 85% or higher mastery.

Pretests can only be done once. The score of a pretest is not counted against you.

Lessons, activities, quizzes, and posttests can be done more than once. Each of these items must be completed with at least 85% mastery or higher.

Documenting Completion After completing all assigned tasks (other than the pretests) with 85% mastery or higher, you must print your report.

These reports must be submitted via the pony NO FAXES, OR E-MAILS to Sharon Curington at Sheridan Technical College by the due date of August 21, 2015.

Upon review of your reports for completion of 85% mastery or more, a confirmation e-mail will be sent. Notice of e-mail confirmation will be posted in the CAB stating “E-mails have been sent, if you have not received confirmation, please e-mail Sharon Curington”. Please do not wait until the class has officially closed to notify me that you did not receive confirmation.

Score Reports To view/print your reports, log in to the program and click a section’s name and then click “View and Print Usage Report”.

Software Requirements Your online program requires 2 software programs to work correctly: Flash Player and Adobe Reader.

Flash Player must be version 7 or higher. To download this, go to www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer .

Adobe Reader must be version 6.0.1 or higher. To download this, go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html .

Troubleshooting Tips Potential Problem #1: The lesson does not appear after clicking on its name in the list of activities.

Cause: A pop-up block is probably suppressing the new window from opening.

Solution: Modify your browser’s settings to allow pop-ups from the www.myskillstutor.com site.

Troubleshooting Tips Potential Problem #2: The lesson opens in a new window, but you’re unable to view some or all of the pages even though you’re clicking on the page in the appropriate place.

Cause: The computer may not have Flash Player installed or, if it does have Flash Player, it may not be the latest version.

Solution: Download the latest version of Flash Player and restart your computer.

Troubleshooting Tips Potential Problem #3: You are unable to view the score report or open the score report that was emailed to you by the course facilitator.

Cause: The computer may not have Adobe Reader or it may have an old version of it.

Solution: Download the latest version of Adobe Reader and restart your computer.
