SchOOL BuSiNESS mANAgERgrade subject to job evaluation33hr per week 40 weeks year.Drake Primary School is a popular single form entry primary school in Keyham, Plymouth. we require the right person to take over the business manager role in January 2013 when the current business manager retires.

The core purpose of the role will be to strategically lead and manage financial, premises, personnel and administrative aspects of the school in order that the Headteacher and senior leaders can focus on teaching and learning and raising standards. The post holder will work closely with the headteacher, senior leaders and governors.

Drake Primary School has recently formed a co-operative trust with charitable status in conjunction with 3 other primary schools in our locality. we need a highly motivated, highly skilled individual who can add an extra dimension to our thinking in developing this trust further.

The post holder will be required to have the School Business manager Qualification (or an equivalent level qualification) to at least Diploma level. Have a proven track record of financial ability and be able to work to deadlines in a busy office environment. You will also need good interpersonal skills to lead a number of members of staff as well as communicate effectively with parents and the wider community.

This will help to generate more enquires to the site and therefore increase the number of hits.

There will be an additional charge for each position that is listed (The more schools that use it - the cheaper it is). The estimated cost of this additional charge ranges from £50 to £70 for each position, depending on the amount of positions advertised. A minimum of 3 positions will have to be advertised to ensure these rates can be offered.

The cost, including the cost of the Herald listing is still substantially cheaper than a full advertisement in the Herald.
