It is with deep regret ~hat we acknowledge the sudden passing of Michael Cadbury on Sunday 7111 February 1999 aged 83 years

Michael was our County Commissioner from 51ll January 1972 tOI the 26th January 1981 He then became County President on 26 111 January 1981 unol 22nd Ja_nuary 1990 since which dute he had been a Life Vice President

Dudng that period of time Michael was an inspirational Leader and supporter of Scouting in Binllingham His passing is a great loss nol only to the Sltout Movement but to all young people in Birrmingham

In acknowledging thc work that Michael didl for the County of B itrmingham he was appointed Chairman of the National Cornmittee of the Councill from 1974 - 1979

He received the award of the Silver Acorn in the St Georges Day honours list of 1979 and then suhsequently received the highest award that Scoliting can grant an ind~viduall namely the SiJvcr Wolf ill tne St Georges Day honours-list of 1991

Commissioners and Members of the Scout Association acknowledge wrth deep gratitude the immense-amount of work and support that Michael gave to our County andl our Movement over the last 27 years
