From the Heart of the Di-rector
Well, we’re off and running; not as hard as we would like to, but we’re
on the move. With the financial challenges our conference is presently experiencing, our travel has to be limited for the time being, but we are launched. We have gotten to three areas and have been greatly encouraged by what we have found. Exciting things are happening. This, our first newsletter, will share highlights of these visits. Read and be inspir-ingly blessed. Our newsletter will be primarily set up to do three things: Inspire - Inform - Impact.

Inform
Ours is a great heritage. We have been blessed with age and experience. Here we are
in a new year, one has never seen before. I’m certain as you reflect on 2014, you can recall many who began last year who are no longer with us. We pause in respectful acknowledgement of their contribution to the cause of God and to society in general. But God in His wisdom saw fit to extend our time. May we use it wisely. Dr. C. Richard Rogers

We must continue to ask ourselves : Who are we? Why are we still here? What impact can we make on the movement we are a part of? Where (in what position) can we make
this Impact - in the church - in my community? Is it yet time for us to sit down, sit back, or sit out - until the Lord comes?
Note this powerful and inspired quotation from one of the
pioneers of our church:
“As those who have spent their lives in the service of Christ draw near to the close of their earthly ministry, they will be impressed by the Holy Spirit to recount the experiences they have had in connection with the work of God. The record of His wonderful dealings with His people, of His great goodness
in delivering them from trial, should be repeated to those newly come to the faith. God desires the old and tried laborers to stand in their place, doing their part to save man and women from being swept downward by the mighty current of evil. He desires them to keep
the armor on till He bids them lay it down. - The Acts of the Apostles, pp. 572-574

Area Highlights Reports from the 2014 Area Meetings
Hello from Virginia
A few church leaders attended the meeting. Others were committed to returning home and getting the ball rolling. We spent an exciting day last year with representatives or leaders from several churches who sent their greetings to their fellow leaders. Our thanks to our host, the Danville Church.
Southern Ohio on the Move
Several leaders were present and shared thrilling reports on seminars and events on the drawing board including one on Wills and Trusts. At least 5 of the 8 churches have active groups. Thanks to Ethan Temple for hosting us.
Northern Ohio
We thank the Cleveland Bethel church for being our host last year. 7 of the10 church leaders were present and gave thrilling reports of exciting activities and events including a planned cruise.
As funds for travel become available we look forward to meeting with Pennsylvania
and West Virginia. It’s critical that we come together to inspire and encourage one another.
