Children's Sunday school will learn that just as the generous father welcomes his prodigal son home, our Heavenly Father welcomes us into His Kingdom. Luke 15:11:32 Families can discuss How does the parable show how much God loves us even when we disobey Him?

Trunk or Treat is Saturday, Oct. 28, 4:30 p.m., in the back church parking lot. It is a TREAT to be a volunteer at TRUNK OR TREAT! You can sign up in the lobby or at http://www.signupgenius.com/

go/409054ca5a62daa8-trunk. Another way that you can help make TRUNK OR TREAT a SWEET SUCCESS is by DONATING CANDY. Drop off candy donations in the box in the lobby.

ues WAITING TO HEAR FROM YOU One important way each of us can connect personally with our school students is through participation in our annual ‘Adopt-A- Student’ program. This weekend, Adopt-A-Student cards for students in our School and Child Care will be made available in the church lobby. Each card will include a “personal touch;” in their own words, students will share how God has made them special. Some of the students (especially our youngest chil-dren) will even include artwork! To participate, simply select a card (or more than one) and put it in a convenient location, such as your Bible, to help you remember the student(s) in prayer on a regular basis. You may also want to write an occasional note of encouragement and/or send your student(s) a birthday card. Notes and cards can be delivered through the Adopt-A-Student box located on the School Ministry table in the church lobby. Our students love knowing you are praying for them by name!

ues MILITARY BIBLE STICKS Military BibleSticks - October Giving Challenge: Military BibleSticks are small digital audio players loaded with the complete New Testament and selected Psalms. These BibleSticks are given to chaplains who request them to distribute to service members. Make checks payable to SHLC with BibleStick in the memo.
