Breaded items are prepared in our kitchen by hand. We have a light breading so you can enjoy the fresh taste of your meal. We use 100% sunflower oil. Don’t like shrimp? That’s okay! We offer many other items. To name a few, we have honey stung chicken, pasta, sandwiches, steak, alligator and frog legs. At The Shrimp Barn we take pride in presenting our food to you and know you will enjoy the quality, freshness and value. We cook fish and shrimp separate from our other foods to keep our food tasting fresh! Since we are a small business, we shop small and local when possible. Our lettuce is hydroponically and locally grown for fresh salads. We offer Illinois wine. Most craft beer is from the Chicagoland area and Louisiana. You may find a new favorite! You can purchase wine or beer to take home with you! Feel free to browse our vintage items as well. We have local consignors. There is a lot of history in this lovely building. Feel free to ask your server for some literature on what we’ve found out so far. If you have any stories we’d love to hear them or you can email the information to us! That goes for pictures too.
