Stepping into God’s Presence Welcome and Announcements Liturgist

(As the prelude is played, please begin to prepare your hearts in silent prayer for worship.) Prelude Susan Jones

The Light of Christ Enters Acolytes Honoring God in Song and Prayer

Call to Worship Psalms 149: 1-5 Responsively Praise the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Praise the Lord!

Hymn of Praise “Rejoice in God’s Saints” No. 749 Prayer: Remembering the Saints Rev. Dr. Lowell Roddy

Call and Prayer of Confession Responsively Beloved, we are God’s children now, but what we will be in the fullness of our time has not been revealed.

What we do know is this: we will be like Jesus the Christ and saints of God. Let us consider how Jesus was revealed among us and pray to be more like the Christ in every way.

Jesus embodied the unconditional love of God… We pray, may we be more like Jesus.

Jesus fed those who were hungry… We pray, may we be more like Jesus.

Jesus drew near to those living on the margins and excluded… We pray, may we be more like Jesus.

Jesus brought healing and wholeness to those in need… We pray, may we be more like Jesus.

Jesus hungered and thirsted for righteousness… We pray, may we be more like Jesus.
