The Sivitanideios Public School of trades
and vocations was founded in 1927
according to the wishes and requirements of
the testator-founder Cyprian Vasileios
Sivitanidis, aiming at the sound technical
and vocational education and training of
young people in Greece.
Sivitanideios school covers a variety of sectors
and specialities for students who would like to follow
technical and vocational education. After 2008 , 5
technical and vocational educational schools (ΤΕΕ)
are converted to 4 Vocational Lyceums (EPAL-ΕΠΑΛ)
and 2 vocational schools (EPAS-ΕΠΑΣ). Three of them
are morning scheduled and two are night schools, so
that students who work can attend the classes.
Sivitanideios School is active and present in technical education since 1927.
WE ATTEND THE ….ECONOMY AND ADMINISTRATION SECTOR
Administration and Financial Services Assistant
• The graduate acquires basic economic
principles as well as tax accounting,
records’ organization and business
administration skills. The task is to be
able to keep offices and companies’
account books in addition to carrying
out the publishing of financial
documents from public services and
the production of balance sheets and
salary drafting for the employees.
• The graduate acquires the necessary techniques,
organizational and communicative capacity to
contribute to the secretarial support a company or
an agency requires in order assuring their effective
function. His/Her duties entail competency in
wording, typewriting and processing of all incoming
and outcoming Greek and Foreign correspondence
as well as keeping account and writing reports.
His/Her responsibilities also involve the organization
of Public Relations and the handling of issues
dealing with the efficiency administration demands
in order to ascertain the competitive public picture
of the company.
The graduate can work in state organizations and
agencies as well as private companies and
industries. Work is available in state financial
services, banks, industries, companies and tax
consultants’ offices.
SCHOOL LIFE
• THE SCHOOLS OPEN: on Sept. 1st- June 30th , for teachers, parents
• THE SCHOOL YEAR STARTS: on September 11th and ENDS :on June 15th, for students
• THE DAY LESSONS START: at 8.15 and end from 13:30 to 14:00 (Monday-Friday)
• SUBJECTS LESSONS DAILY: There are usually 7 school subject lessons daily.
SCHOOL BREAKS
There are 6 short breaks daily of 5 and
10 minutes between lessons. The first
break is usually 15΄ to allow students to
have a snack.
EXCURSIONS/TRIPS
Every month each high school in Greece is
obliged to take the students for a 4-5 hour ‘walk’ in a
park/sport field or an educational trip to a museum,
theater etc. A full day excursion yearly, for 1st and
2nd Grade. A 3-day excursion for 3rd Grade.

SCHOOL ELECTIONS
• They are held every November and divided in 2 parts.• In the 1st part every student elects the Class
Presidium of his/her class. The Class Presidium has 5 members: The President, The General Secretary, The Treasurer, The 2 Members
• In the 2nd part students elect a School Council which has 15 members and represents the students. Its role is extremely important in every school because the School Council takes significant decisions for all the students. The School Council has 15 members: The School President, The Vice-President, The Treasurer and 12 Members
THE LESSONS END.....
... in the second week of May (15-17th)so
that the students will be able to study for
their final examinations between May and
June.
• Official school holidays : Christmas: 2 weeks, Easter: 2 weeks
• National : 28th October, 17th November, 25th March
• Summer: July-August
