Whales and MigrationWhales migrate further than any other animal. Migrating means to move from one area to

another.

In Winter, gray whales live in the Pacific Ocean near Mexico because the water is warm.

In Spring, when the water starts to get too warm for them, they migrate north towards Alaska where the water is cooler.

Sometimes when whales are migrating, we can see them “blowing” and jumping out of the water. Whale watching is fun!
