WV ELEM/JH FINE ARTS Our students are provided many opportunities to use their God-given talents and abilities in the area of Fine Arts to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is our goal to support our students in their endeavors to pursue excellence in vocal music, instrumental music, the visual arts, drama, and creative writing. Our students annually perform at venues both in and out of state. Information was sent home to families, but can also be found here or on pages 5-12. All ele- mentary and junior high registration forms are due back into the school office NO LATER THAN TOMORROW, February 2nd. ARCHERY TOURNAMENT Our archers will be competing in a tourna- ment, this Saturday, at the Cline Athletic Complex at Marshall. Flight times are 8:00 and 8:45, and archers need to arrive 40 minutes ahead of their flight time. PRESIDENTS’ DAY There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 19th, due to Presidents’ Day. Classes will be dismissed for the day, and daycare will not be available. STRAWBERRY SALE The Strawberry Sale is this month! Due to the unseasonably cold weather in Florida, the crop is getting a slow start this year. This is a simple way to provide a delicious treat to our school families! If you haven’t tried these strawberries, you are in for a real treat! BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS Our WVCAT Middle School and Varsity bas- ketball tournaments will take place during these next couple of weeks. Cross Lanes Chris- tian School will host our Middle School play- ers on February 8th-10th. Our Varsity teams will play at Beckley on February 15th-17th. A playing bracket, for our Middle School teams, can be found on page 3 of the Update. YOU BELONG AT GRACE! We will be hosting our annual Re- enrollment Open House on Thursday, Feb- ruary 22nd, at 7pm. We hope you have al- ready made the decision to re-enroll your students for the 2018-19 school year! At- tending this meeting will ensure you re- ceive additional incentives towards your monthly tuition! We would also encourage you to invite new friends and family mem- bers to join our family and discover the difference! SPRING BOOK FAIR Our annual spring book fair begins this month, February 26th through March 2nd. This event provides a good opportunity for you, our parents, to view new books and materials that are available for sale to our students in grades K3-8. If anyone would be willing to volunteer and assist with the book fair, please call the school office on Thursdays and talk to Linda Adkins. VIP MEETING Join us on February 12th at 7pm for our first VIP Meeting of 2018! We will be up- dating parents on our new online options, school security upgrades, van purchase up- date, and gracesoldiers.tv advertising op- portunities. We will also address general questions, comments, or concerns!
