Red Brand Apron Fence This is an excellent fence for beagle training pens. It is can also be used for game bird pens and gardens. Woven by Keystone Steel in Peoria, IL, the unique, "hinged", 12" apron prevents animals from burrowing under the fence. Keeps raccoons, foxes and other predators out - keeps pets in. The apron can be turned in either direction to make a pen or form an outside barrier. This fence is easy to install. There is no need to dig a trench. Bend the fabric along the line wire which runs the length of the roll, 12" up from the bottom edge. The apron lays on top of the ground and vegetation can grow up through the mesh, securely fastening it to the ground. Apron fence is 48" or 60" tall with the 12" laying on the ground. The rolls are 150' long. Strong 17 gauge wire (more than twice the thickness of 20 gauge) is galvanized before weaving to resist rust and corrosion. 1-1/2" mesh provides a secure barrier. Vinyl coated - Apron fence is also available (on special order) with a thick, durable, black vinyl (PVC) coated finish - the same coating used on lobster trap wire. Each order is custom-coated. There is a 10 roll minimum order quantity. Though more expensive initially, vinyl coated mesh is more attractive and will outlast the galvanized.

Welded Wire Meshes
Welded WireGalvanized Before Welding GBW mesh is made from strands of galvanized wire welded together. During the welding process, the rust preventing galvanizing is burned off at the weld points where the wires intersect. These meshes are economical but have a limited lifetime. A general purpose mesh, ideal for low-cost fencing, kennels, cages, and a variety of other uses.

The entire mesh, including the welded areas, is thoroughly sealed and protected against rust. This wire is particularly useful for animal enclosures or other applications where rust prevention and long life is desired. Ideally suited for use as ground wire for bird and animal enclosures. Welded WireVinyl Coated VC mesh is made by coating either galvanized before or galvanized after welded mesh with a thick layer of black or green PVC fused to the wire by a heat process, creating an attractive, tough, long-lasting, weather and chemical-resistant mesh. Welded WireStainless Steel SS welded wire mesh, strong and long lasting, needs no additional finish to protect it. The wire itself is extremely resistant to rust, corrosion and harsh chemicals. Hardware ClothGalvanized After Weld We offer a wide variety of smaller, lighter gauge meshes that are galvanized after fabrication. A thick coating of zinc prevents rust and stiffens the fabric. These meshes have a wide variety of uses. 1/2" mesh is a light duty economical flooring for quail pens. Other meshes, gauges and types of wire are available on special order. Vinyl Coated Vinyl coated hardware cloth is available in 1/2" square mesh 19 gauge, 1/3" square mesh 21 gauge and 1/4" square mesh 23 gauge core wire. The thick, flexible black PVC coating is tightly bonded to the underlying galvanized after mesh giving it double protection from rust and corrosion. This tough, durable finish stands up to rough treatment. These are excellent meshes for many different applications. 1/2" mesh makes an excellent underground gopher barrier.
Vinyl Coated FenceYard & Garden - 2"x2", 2"x3", 1-1/2"x4", 2"x4" meshes The thick vinyl coating on these meshes is permanently bonded to galvanized welded wire, creating an attractive and long lasting fence. There are no sharp or rough edges to cut people or animals. The vinyl remains pliable over a wide temperature range. These meshes have a wide variety of uses including: children's play areas, yard and pet enclo-sures, gardens, as a "backer" for wood post and rail fence. The meshes, welded from light 16, regular 14, heavier 12, or extra heavy 11 gauge core wires, have a thick PVC coating. It will not crack when the wire is bent. Tenax CintoflexPolyethylene Poultry Netting Cintoflex was designed more than 15 years ago as a solution for replacing galvanized netting. It is manufactured from non-toxic, flexible, high density polyethylene with characteristics that withstand the effect of weather (extremes of hot and cold, UV rays) and contaminates such as acids generated on the poultry farm. Cintoflex is produced by a patented stretching and extruding process. As a result, the mesh is manufactured as a continuous net, possessing strength normally associated with wire netting. Cintoflex is easily handled and installed, due to its extremely light weight. There are four different mesh sizes from which to choose. Available in rolls up to 15 feet wide, multiple overlaps are eliminated in installations where height is required, such as aviaries. The netting may be installed similar to any conventional fencing. Due to the material's light weight, support posts are not required as often. For added support, a bracing wire should be run through the top and bottom of the mesh. Cintoflex requires less storage space than conventional netting. It is ideal for a wide variety of applications including bird and deer control. For heavier plastic deer mesh, see page 18. We do not recommend using this mesh where predators are a concern.

Tenax Bird Barrier Netting Tenax extrudes black polypropylene making strong versatile meshes with small openings. They are specifically designed to protect vegetables, flowers, plants, fruits, trees, ponds, gardens and other areas from being invaded by nuisance birds. This netting can also be used as an effective erosion control on newly seeded slopes. Also ideal for keeping leaf piles in place in windy weather. Polyethylene Mesh Long lasting, polyethylene, non-woven mesh is made from high quality black polyolefin resins in a variety of mesh openings, thicknesses and weights. It can be used in certain applications as an alternative to wire cloth and woven or expanded metals. Poly mesh is non-corrosive, lightweight, non-conductive and UV stabilized to stand up to long term outdoor exposure. It is ideal for use in damp areas. Crawfish Trap Wire Crawfish trap wire mesh has double protection against rust and corrosion. 19 or 20 gauge wire is woven into a small 3/4" hexagonal mesh. It is then dipped in a bath of molten zinc. The resultant Galvanized After Weave (GAW) netting is coated with a thick layer of black vinyl. The vinyl is tightly bonded to the wire. It resists scrapes and cracks. 3/4" mesh vinyl coated hexagonal netting can be used in any situation where a small vinyl coated mesh with a long lifetime is required. There is a 5 roll minimum order requirement for this product.

Crab Pot Trap Wire Crab Pot trap wire is made to withstand hard use in salt water. There are two types of mesh available for building crab pots - square welded and hexagonal woven. Both meshes are galvanized for protection against rust and corrosion. The meshes are then coated with a thick layer of PVC, ensuring double protection. The vinyl coating of the trap wire is firmly bonded to the wire and resists scraping. It is impervious to corrosive substances. Crab Pot Trap wire is unaffected by extremes of temperature. It is flexible and will not crack or peel when the mesh is bent. The gauges shown are the diameters of the "core" wire before coating.
