Dear Members,
DeANNEHAMILTONExecutive Director/ General Manager
I’m excited by all of our programming for February! As a public media organization we are committed to bringing you programs that not only entertain, but provide information to help you gain a deeper understanding of the struggles people have gone through to reach incredible achievements.
This month we, along with many stations in the PBS family, will be commemorating Black History Month with a special line-up of programs. Tune in to trace a chapter of America’s history through the series African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross, celebrate the life of Muhammad Ali, or tour the African Amer-ican Museum, the newest museum that recently opened on the Mall in our nation’s capital.
We’ll get a chance to explore our country’s trials and successes in the race to the moon and beyond in the upcoming series, The Space Age: NASA’s Story.
And we know you’ll enjoy continuing to watch some of your favorite Masterpiece shows, Sherlock and Victoria, along with NOVA and a special Spy in the Wild Nature mini-series!
Enjoy!
