Purpose/GoalThe participant will learn how to put one orseveral axes into operation, from single parts to a producing installation.

After fulfilled the course the participant shouldknow:• Know which external axis options are

suited for what.

• Be able to make simple changes in the hardware.

• Be able to configure an external axis by means of different resources.

• Be able to trim an axis for optimized performance.

• Know how external axes can be used and how they cooperate with the robot.

The course is 50% theory and 50% hands on.

applications with external axes.

Purpose/GoalThis course is a high level RAPID programming cour-se, which will give a deeper knowledge in advancedand structured programming.The course will give abasic understanding of using data types, functions,program flow instruction, interrupts, program displacements, multitasking etc.

Previous knowledgeTheoretical knowledge:• Good experience of robot programming using

teach pendant. Basic knowledge of modern programming language like Pascal,Visual Basic or C.

Practical knowledge:• Booting and configuring robots with

S4CPlus controller.

• Programming and installation of robots.

• Basic knowledge corresponding to ABB programming courses.

Purpose/GoalThis course covers the fundamental of AbsoluteAccuracy and it gives an understanding of whatCalibWare can be used for. CalibWare is an add-inapplication in Robot Studio used for absolute accura-cy calibration of robots

After the course the participant will be able to:• Perform an absolute accuracy calibration

• Make a cell alignment

• Know what to do to re-establish accuracy after motor or wrist exchange.

Previous knowledgePractical knowledge:

• Experience from calibration and cell alignments

1. Absolute accuracy calibration cube• Build calibration cell in Robot Studio• Resolver offset calibration with calibration cube• Generate positions for calibration and verification• Perform measurements, manual and automated

• How the system works in detail when you have to boot up the system and restart it in different modes.

• How the memory is structured and how it is used e. g. structure flash disc, internal RWM memory.

• How the S4CPlus uses the system´s fieldbuses,DeviceNet, Profibus, Interbus and network functions RAP, DHCP, DNS, FTP...

• The course includes several practical sessions (hands on).

Purpose/GoalThe goal is to fully understand the overall con-cept of PickMaster 1.0. After the session thestudents shall be capable of:• Understanding the possibilities and limitations

of PickMaster 1.0

• Setting up and running a complete PickMaster project

• Understanding the hardware components and wiring

• Knowing the capabilities and limitations of the vision tools

• Training various vision models and understanding the effects of the vision parameters
