I hope everyone had a great holiday and is ready to tackle this year head on. We have some great meengs coming up that I am very excited about. We also have the annual expo coming up in Orlando, FL. I hope to see some of you there. To start things off this year, our first meeng topic is Commissioning. This subject has a special place for me since I spend a great deal of my career with this subject. More than just a paper pushing exercise, Commissioning can be a very valuable tool for successfully compleng a project and holding everyone accountable through the process. I have been on many projects where Commissioning is done correctly and everything seems to work”, however I have been on many more projects where either Commissioning is not done or was performed with a lesser qualityyou can tell. Its usually a mess. Brian Keller, with Cleary-Zimmerman is our speaker this month. Brian Keller has 30 years of experience in building systems commissioning, MEP QA/QC, DDC controls tesng, and test and balance. He has commissioned numerous projects, many of which are LEED® or CHPS cerfied, for various market sectors including government, healthcare, educaonal, and commercial. Brian has been involved in MEP assess- ments, programming, plan development, equipment replacements, expansions, and commissioning in both new construcon and renovaons. He holds membership and cerficaons in the Naonal Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) and cur- rently vice-chairs the NEBB Exam Development Commiee at the Naonal level. I am very excited to have Mr. Keller present this topic. I have worked personally with Brian and I have the upmost respect for him and his knowledge in this field. I hope to see everyone at the January meeng on the 21 st . Again, Happy New Year! Thanks, Frank L Painter, P.E.

Alamo ASHRAE,

Welcome to 2020! I hope everyone had a great holiday and is ready to tackle this year head on. We have some great meetings

coming up that I am very excited about. We also have the annual expo coming up in Orlando, FL. I hope to see some of you

there. To start things off this year, our first meeting topic is Commissioning. This subject has a special place for me since I spend

a great deal of my career with this subject. More than just a paper pushing exercise, Commissioning can be a very valuable tool

for successfully completing a project and holding everyone accountable through the process. I have been on many projects

where Commissioning is done correctly and everything seems to “work”, however I have been on many more projects where

either Commissioning is not done or was performed with a lesser quality…you can tell. Its usually a mess.

Brian Keller, with Cleary-Zimmerman is our speaker this month. Brian Keller has 30

years of experience in building systems commissioning, MEP QA/QC, DDC controls

testing, and test and balance. He has commissioned numerous projects, many of

which are LEED® or CHPS certified, for various market sectors including government,

healthcare, educational, and commercial. Brian has been involved in MEP assess-

ments, programming, plan development, equipment replacements, expansions, and

commissioning in both new construction and renovations. He holds membership

and certifications in the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) and cur-

rently vice-chairs the NEBB Exam Development Committee at the National level.

I am very excited to have Mr. Keller present this topic. I have worked personally

with Brian and I have the upmost respect for him and his knowledge in this field. I

hope to see everyone at the January meeting on the 21st.

Again, Happy New Year!

Thanks,

Frank L Painter, P.E.
