Thank you St. Anne Community for your great response for the 2017 Gala! Saturday, February 11 at the Marriott Marquis was an amazing evening of fun, fellowship and fundraising to benefit St. Anne Catholic School! All previous Gala fundraising records were exceeded! “We are positively overwhelmed by the generous spirit of the friends, families and members of the St. Anne Community,” Gala Chairs Ginnie and Tim McConn said. “It was such a privilege to witness the many blessings of generosity and the level of support for quality Catholic education,” Gala Chairs Sybil and Terrence Starling said. “Thank you on behalf of the students of St. Anne Catholic School.” Proceeds from the Gala help grow the St. Anne Endowment Fund for the continued excellence of the School and provide an annual grant that the School has earmarked for 2017-2018 for security, athletics and technology support. In addition, Gala contributions to the Father John Robbins Bourse will continue to grow this fund for needs-based scholarships that foster the enriching diversity of the school. “The Foundation was most pleased to be able to host our 19th Annual Gala and continue to fulfill our mission to provide financial support to maintain and strengthen the learning environment of St. Anne Catholic School,” St. Anne School Foundation President David Holt said. With great pleasure, the Board of Trustees of the St. Anne School Foundation named Michael “Tripp” Carter as honoree for the 19th Annual Gala benefiting St. Anne Catholic School in recognition of his overall philanthropy, especially his support of quality Catholic education. The Board commended Tripp for his outstanding work in the community, his passion for helping others, and his over-the-top fundraising acumen that has benefitted many organizations, including St. Anne. During his 20 years as a professional in fundraising, Tripp served as Director of Development for The Menil Collection, Executive Director of Development for The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and Director of Development Research at Rice University. Currently, he is the co-founder and president of Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services. Tripp’s volunteer activities currently include serving on the Endowment Board of Directors and co-chairing the $15 million Building Healthy Families Capital Campaign for Legacy Community Healthcare System; member of the Board of Directors and Development Committee for the Houston Ballet Foundation; member of the Art Advisory Council for the University of St. Thomas; and member of the Development Committee for the Asia Society Texas Center. From 2005-2012, Tripp served on the Executive Committee and Campaign Committee for St. Anne’s “Faith In Action” $10 million Capital Campaign. After serving six years as a trustee for the St. Anne School Foundation, he continues to serve St. Anne as a member of the Bourse Advisory Board. 2016-2017 Board of Trustees David Holt, President Tim McConn, Vice President Crystal Maxwell, Treasurer Brian Welch, Secretary Tammy Casey Brina D’Amico Mary Frances Anderson DuMay Matt Fleming Daniel Kopfensteiner Oscar Martinez Bob Merril Steve Schwarzbach Reverend Al Sinasac, C.S.B Sybil Starling Ex Officio Nadia Alonzo Ginnie McConn Terrence Starling St. Anne Catholic School Principal Kathleen Barnosky St. Anne Catholic Church Pastor Reverend Al Sinasac, C.S.B.
