On September 20, 2012, a massive storm ripped through the Valdosta area, leading to damage, power outages, downed trees, and the like. The pictures you see in this slideshow were all taken around Brookwood Drive, the Fine Arts building, and the Odum Library.

The tree that you saw in the first picture knocked down a power line on Brookwood Drive, as seen in this photo.

The driveway by the Fine Arts building was flooded, and the construction area at the back of the building sustained damage.

One Mile Branch, the creek right behind the Odum Library, was dangerously close to flood stage.
