The Taste that Rocks!� e Hare and Hound had been a pub we ate and drank in many years ago but had fallen o� our radar! Having heard this restaurant had bought ‘� e Black Rock’ to Telford with a totally fresh experience to o� er its Dinners we were excited to see what they had o� er.We sat in the restaurant and took our time taking in the variety dishes available, not only did we � nd scallops, monk� sh, venison, and sea bass on the menu, but we were also surprised to learn about the Black Rock experience itself where you cook your food at your table to your personal liking not rushing your meal as the black rock gently keeps your food heated and unspoiled as if fresh from the kitchen!A� er being talked through the menu and told that ingredients are sourced from as far as Scotland to ensure the highest quality we decided to go for a selection of dishes so we could get the most out of our visit! I ordered the Scallops, black pudding with slithers of bacon whilst my wife opted for the Chick-en skewers marinated in lime and chilli. � e starters arrived promptly on a black rock sizzling and releas-ing the most delicious aroma

Without wasting any time we dived in, the Scallops were plump and moist cooked well, if I do say so myself and classically combined with award winning black pudding and crisp bacon it boasted simple perfection!

Sandra’s chicken skewers were juicy and bursting with � avour and at this point we knew we were in for a treat!� e mains were presented with great timing allowing us to chat and enjoy the atmosphere. I had ordered the Venison steak with garlic and rosemary mash accompanied by a orange � avoured gravy jus. � e steak was generously sized and came seared. I had never tried venison before and I found that as with steak it rare so the black rock allowed me to cook this ex-actly to my liking. � e sauce was rich and � avoursome and combined with the creamy well seasoned mash

was delightful! Sandra had ordered the Caly Chicken with the renowned award winning haggis mashed neeps and potato accompanied by a whiskey sauce. � e haggis was � u� y and full of � avour whilst the chicken was tender and partnered well with the � avours of the sauce which had gentle under tones of whiskey!We found ourselves taking our time with our meal the Black Rock was a fantastic experience and added an element of fun to our dinning. We would give the Hare and Hounds a 10 out 10 for value, menu and atmosphere we will be back again soon and look forward to trying the rest of the menu! Frankly FantasticFrankie and Benny’s is a place me and my family have frequented many times over the years so upon hearing they had a new menu to offer me and my mum Marie jumped at the chance to check it out! We were greeted by Kathy upon arriving and shown to our table where the menu was ready for us to take our time and look at the new additions. Whilst looking at the range of dishes we had Warm garlic dough balls to share which were light, fluffy and oozed with delicious garlic butter. We ordered our starters and enjoyed a cocktail from the wide variety available. Marie had the soup of the day which was Tomato it was rich, thick and full of flavour. I had ordered the Garlic and Cheese Mushrooms which

Cheesecake and to quote it was “Beautiful” The whole time we were in the restaurant we were well looked after by our waiter Marcus who made sure we had everything we needed and dealt promptly with any drinks ordered delivering brilliant service, with good timing between courses so we did not feel rushed. All together it was a great experience and a special mention to the chefs for the lovely food cooked. We can fully recommend you try the new menu and are sure you will be as pleased as we were!
