• GodwantstobefirstinourlivesbecauseofHisloveforus.WhenweputourtrustinGodonly,welearntolooktoHimforprotection,healingandforthethingsweneedeverydaylikefoodandaplacetolive.

Whyshouldweobservethiscommandment?
• TheGodweworshipisreal–andHeistheonlyGod.Theonlyother“gods”thereare–arethosethatmancreatesinhisownmind!
• WesaythatGodprovidesuswithfood,shelterandclothing.DiscusswithyourfamilyhowitisthatGoddoesthis.(Example:Godcreatedtreesthatwebuildhomesfrom).
• Godcaresforusasaparentcaresfortheirchild.ParentsaretoraisetheirchildrentounderstandandobeyGod.Theyalsoprovidelove,food,aplacetolive,clothing,etc.Whatif,afteralltheyhavedone,theirchildmightsay,“Well,thankyouforallyouhavedoneforme,butIthinkIwouldliketohavesomeoneelsetobemyparentinstead.”Howwouldthatmakeyourparentsfeel?ConsiderwhatGod,ourprovider,thinkswhenwedothesametoHim.
