Greetings:
As the song says, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” December is here and Christmas time is upon us. It truly is a wonderful time of year, a time for family and friends to gather, a time to renew cherished tradi-tions, a time for peace and goodwill to all !
For me, Christmas is all of the above, but even more important, it’s a time to rejoice, to celebrate the blessed birth of our Lord and Savior, through whom the hope of salvation has come to all mankind.
December is also a time for reflection and anticipation as we look back on this year’s accomplishments and forward to a new year of serving our community. 2017 was a great year for our Lodge, our events contin-ued to be successful, we introduced many new mem-bers, exceeded per capita goals for ENF and Benevolent Trust, were presented the Patriot of the Year award by the city of Eureka, and honored by the Missouri House of Representatives. There is indeed much to be proud of and ALL the praise goes to our hard working and ded-icated members, you are truly the heart and soul of this Lodge!
In closing, Cindy and I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and safe New Year. I am honored to represent this Lodge as your ER, and I’m beyond grateful for all you do for the community.
Sincerely, Ron Kurtz Exalted Ruler

Lodge members John Wengert, Mike Jeffries, Bob LaBeau, Harold Goodmon, and Fred Bunch worked several hours cleaning donated dear hides in support of the Elks Veterans Leather program. Looks like it’s going to be a great year for dear hide donations at the Lodge!

1982 - 2017 Lodge Anniversary
35 Years of Serving the Community
On October 17, 1982, the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge became the 2,644th lodge in the Benevolent and Pro-tective Order of Elks of the United States of America (BPOE), and this October the Lodge will celebrate its 35th anniversary.
The story of the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge began in the spring of 1982, it was the idea of a small group of Elks from the Meramec-Arnold and High Ridge lodges. The group held planning meetings which eventu-ally led to the submission of an application for the new lodge on July 17, 1982. The application was offi-cially accepted by the Grand Lodge ten days later. The formal beginning (or Institution) of the Lodge oc-curred on October 17, 1982 at a special ceremony held at the Palace Theater at Six Flags. That day the Lodge instituted over 200 members and was off and running! In October of 1989, another milestone was reached when the Lodge purchased and dedicated their building at the corner of Central Ave. and West First St., which they have since expanded and continue to occupy to this day.
From its inception, the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge has been a strong source for charitable programs and events, all designed to help children grow up healthy and drug-free, meet the needs of today’s veterans, promote patriotism, and improve the quality of life in the community. In total, the Lodge has donated over 3 MILLION DOLLARS to charitable causes over the past 35 years.
At the state level, the Eureka and Pacific Elks Lodge works to support the Missouri Elks Association, providing state-wide programs such as, “Elks Mobile Dental”. This program serves the dental needs of eligible physically challenged children, and mentally challenged/developmentally disabled adults and children. Providing basic and routine dental care. Each year, dental procedures are performed on more than 3,000 patients. The value of these services is over $700,000.
At a national level, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks provides millions of dollars each year through programs such as the “Elks National Foundation”, which since its inception, has contributed $455.4 million toward Elks charitable projects nationwide.
The members of the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge would like to thank the community for their unfailing sup-port, it is your generosity that allows us to provide help to those in need. We are committed to building and strengthening our Lodge to ensure we can continue to serve our communities for many years to come.
A final note, as our local lodge celebrates its 35th anniversary, we look forward to 2018, and celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America (1868 – 2018).

Get Involved &Volunteer! Make A Difference
You have many reasons to be extremely proud of your lodge! Our lodge is one of the hardest working lodges in the country. We support a wide range of events and organizations, each one making a difference in our community or nation. We have a well earned reputation for “Getting the Job Done”, it’s been said more than once, “If the Eureka-Pacific Elks are involved it will be a success!” Needless to say it takes a lot of dedicated and caring people to make it happen. That’s where you come in, if you’re not already involved in an event pick one out an jump right in!
