For 6000 years God has watched while men and women…• Blaspheme his name • Disregard his Son • Murder his saints • Commit murder• Commit fornication• Gossip• Drink and etc
A. The REALITY of His wrath
(Rom 2:5-11) But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto
thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment
of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by
patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious,
and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first,
and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that
worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of
persons with God.
(Act 17:30-31) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by
that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath
given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him
from the dead.
(Jud 1:14-15) And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied
of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his
saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of
all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken
against him.
(Rom 1:18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;
(Psa 21:8-9) Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his
wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
(Mic 5:15) And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as
they have not heard.
B. We will be
RELIEVED of His wrath
I. Thes. 5:2-9
(Rev 3:10) Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will
keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell
upon the earth.
B. We should be ROUSED
of His wrath
NOTES
Never make the mistake of believing that because we will not be subjected to the wrath, that we should not be stirred by his wrath.
Every time God gives us prophecy concerning future events, it is always in context to practical living.
I. Thes. 4:13-18
I. Thes. 5:2-9
(2Pe 3:10-) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the
heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent
heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then
that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new
heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without
spot, and blameless.
(1Jn 3:1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us
not, because it knew him not.
(1Jn 3:2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall
be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
(1Jn 3:3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as
he is pure.
(Php 3:20-21) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious
body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all
things unto himself.
(Php 4:1) Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy
and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
1 Cor. 15:51-58
I. Thes. 5:2-9
We know that all that have trusted in
Christ as Savior have eternal
salvation.
But do we have eternal equality?
