Blessings to all of you,
As many of you are aware, Pastor Amanda and George have lost George’s brother this
weekend. We ask everyone to keep them and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
The loss of a young life is difficult to endure.
Pastor Amanda will have her Message back in the next issue of Tidings. Until then, please
continue to hold them all in your prayers. Thank you. Dodi
Give Death hides -
But it cannot divide, Thou art but on
Christ's other side. Thou with Christ
And Christ with me And so together
Still are we.
We give them back to you, dear Lord, who gave them to us.
Yet as you do not lose them in giving, so we have not lost them by their return.
Not as the world gives do you give, O Lover of souls.
What you gave you do not take away; for what is ours is ours always,
if we are yours.
And life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only an horizon, and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
Lift us, strong Son of God, that we may see farther.
Cleanse our eyes that we may see more clearly.
Draw us closer to yourself that we may know ourselves nearer to them.
And while you are preparing a place for us, prepare us for that happy place,
that where they are and you are, we too may be;
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR
CHILDREN AND YOUTH AT
9:15AM!
We have begun another year of
faith-filled learning!
Children (potty-trained) and
Youth, pre-k through high school
are all welcome to attend.
Come join the fun!
We received the following letter from
the Special Olympics New Jersey.
“Dear Pastor Hemenetz,
Thanks to donors like you and the parishioners of The
United Methodist Church at Mount Tabor, Special
Olympics New Jersey athlete Delaney O’Connell was
able to spend this summer with her friends. She experi-
enced new sports and games, improved her basketball
and soccer skills and learned about health and wellness.
You see Delaney attended Camp Shriver, an awesome
free summer day camp program offered each year by
Special Olympics New Jersey designed specifically to
meet her unique needs.
Through the generosity of The United Methodist
Church at Mount Tabor and others, Special Olympics
New Jersey is able to offer Camp Shriver along with
every other program throughout the year across the
state, completely free of charge for athletes. We abso-
lutely could not do this without your support. For this
it’s my pleasure to thank you and everyone from The
United Methodist Church at Mount Tabor for the gen-
erous $302.00 donation. We rely on donors like you to
help make all that we do for the athletes a reality.
Pastor Hemenetz by choosing to support Special Olym-
pics New Jersey you and your members have made a
choice to make a difference right here in New Jersey by
providing opportunities in sports, recreation, health
and wellness. These opportunities and experiences ulti-
mately lead to positive changes in the lives of thou-
sands of Special Olympics New Jersey athletes, coaches,
volunteers, families and fans across the state.
Thank you again!
Sincerely,
Heather B Andersen
President and CEO”

WELCOME
The United Methodist Church at Mount Tabor is a community of faith-filler friends who seek to grow closer to God through the ministry of Jesus Christ and by the guidance of the
Holy Spirit. We celebrate the history of Mount Tabor, and look with hope toward the future. Everyone is welcome here; everyone is cherished here; for everyone is a child of God. All are welcome to participate with us in our journey of faith, regardless of back-
ground, theological stance, or personal characteristics. We rejoice in God creating us to be a diverse family; and we strive to follow the Spirit’s leading as one, while maintaining and upholding our individuality. Because of the current official stance of The United Methodist
Church, we feel it is important to state a welcome to those of all sexual orientations and gender identities—You are welcome here.
God loves you just the way you are; and so do we.
