W ith almost 8,900 students and more than 80 academic programs, the University of

Texas at Tyler is one of the fastest growing universities in Texas. Fifteen years ago, the University was home to 3,500 students, many of whom were commuters or working professionals. Since that time, enrollment has grown by 147% and numerous academic programs, athletic teams,

and student activity organizations have become part of everyday life at the University. Today, the University is an active, thriving institution that has a solid impact on the educational levels, economic health and workforce success of East Texas and the entire state. UT Tyler’s economic impact is essential to the success of this region. University and student spending puts more than $325 million back into the Texas economy each year, creating the equivalent of 6,000 jobs. Every dollar invested in a UT Tyler student results in a $13 return to taxpayers and society as a whole, which is proof that the support of this University has a measurable impact on the economic health of the state. The generous support of President’s Associates members speaks volumes about our community and its dedication to the mission of the University. As a member of President’s Associates, you truly impact the lives of our students. Gifts from President’s Associates benefit virtually every area of the University by making discretionary funds available for students with unexpected financial needs. The University is grateful to have such dedicated supporters, and the gifts of our wonderful friends and alumni are essential to helping us accomplish our primary goal of student success.
