A better way to inspect the leading edge of fan blades.

Design proved a focused coil with US-454 EddyView™ worked best.

Airframe ManufacturingDefine Customer Application Problem: A better way to inspect the inside diameter of ball screws.

In-depth research of the stabilizer arm determined the Design prototype. It proved to be the best solution to detect cracks on the inside diameter of this difficult to inspect part.

General Purpose Bolt Hole Scanner/Indexer

Define Customer Application Problem:

A bolt hole scanner to rapidly and accurately inspect critical engine parts.

UniWest Developed a hand held scanner assembly that keeps the coil perpendicular to the side of the hole. This mechanical assist is more accurate than holding by hand.

Power GenerationDefine Customer Application Problem:

Develop an eddy current instrument that would also have vision and strip chart capabilities.

The US-454 EddyView™ is shown inspecting the inside of a valve with the VisionProbe™, and using an eddy current probe to calibrate from a test block.

UniWest Designed this hybrid instrument to include eddy current, video capture and strip chart recorder.

Prototype instruments were Developed, modifications were applied and instruments were Delivered on schedule.

Define Customer Application Problem: Need the ability to visually inspect thermally hot environments.

UniWest Designed this high temperature vision probe to work with the US-454 EddyView™ eddy current instrument.

Develop Solution Driven Prototype: The HiTempProbe™ can withstand temperatures up to 900° F.

This complete package was Delivered turn key.
