The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN) was inaugurated in 2015 aiming at thediffusion of science without borders through peaceful and humanitarian universal initiatives in the fields ofeducationandresearch.Itsmembershipincludessomeofthetop1%scientistsfrom21scientificfieldsasadvisoryboardmemberswhomanageandsupervise theeducationalandresearchprograms.Therearemorethan6,500additionalmembersfrom65countries.Morethan13NobelLaureatesand300topscientistsacceptedtoserveasadvisoryboardmembers.TheUSERNprizeisaninternationalaward,establishedbytheUSERN,whicheveryyearis bestowed upon junior researchers less than 40 years of age for any novel advancement or achievement inscientificeducation, research,or serving thehumanity in five fields, including formal sciences,physical sciences,biologicalsciences,medicalsciences,andsocialsciences.TheInternationalFestival forAwardingUSERNprize isheldeveryyearonNovember10thintheWorldScienceDayforPeaceandDevelopment.EuropeanSchoolofGeneticMedicine:www.eurogene.org
Since 1988more than 7000 young geneticists, in particular physicians and biologists, have been trained by theEuropeanSchoolofGeneticMedicine(ESGM).TheycometoItalyfromeverywhereinEurope,fromtheSouthernrim of the Mediterranean sea, from the Middle East and from all over the world. ESGM is recognized andsponsored with scholarships by many Universities across Europe, by the European Society of Human Genetics(ESHG) and by other scientific societies. ESGM is therefore having a tremendous impact on the practice andresearchinhuman/medicalgeneticsfarbeyondEurope.
