Miguel Rivera, President

Dear Gold Vault Chapter Members,

The AFCEA Gold Vault Chapter in Fort Knox has been going strong

during the last few years thanks to the outgoing President, Mr. Bill

Heidenreich and the supporting VPs that composed the Executive Committee

(EC). In January, the chapter welcomed aboard a new slate of volunteers to

serve as Officers on our 2018 EC. I want to thank all who are dedicated to

serve the AFCEA mission. I am honored to be the newly elected chapter

president and to continue serving the Fort Knox community. I also want to

thank our seasoned members and young AFCEANs for planning,

participating and supporting our exciting chapter events. I, along with our

Board of Directors, would like to thank our Sustaining & Industry Sponsors,

Military Leaders and the Academic community for being so engaged and

supportive of the chapter. Educating our membership and building future

leaders in our community is goodness and your time is so important to our

success and the value is greater than any currency.

Our professional young AFCEAN’s and our VP of Scholarship at the

Gold Vault Chapter are becoming even more involved and helping us to

connect the dots for our mission in STEM and the young professionals.

Please join us on our mission as we grow and reach out to many in our

community building lasting relationships while having fun. We have some

challenges ahead of us, our membership is currently at 149 and we are

challenging those whose membership is expiring to renew their membership.

We are considering doing a members’ only event and looking for ways to

provide opportunities for members to earn continuing education credits

towards their certifications as part of the events that we are hosting.

I want to hear from the chapter members, guests and sponsors; feel

free to reach out to me with your ideas and what you would like to see and get

involved. We are looking forward to a great year!
