This eBook is a collection of poetry that examines Gandhi's Seven Blunders of Human Virtue - a list ofseven acts of passive violence that society needed to prevent in order to avoid reaching a point of

    violence.

Written from the viewpoint of several contrasting characters, the eBook focuses on major perilsfrom our modern world and relates them back to Gandhi's original 'Blunders'. Although the poetry iscompletely theoretical, each of the seven poems display a sense of genuine emotion and true to life

expression, whilst highlighting important issues that commonly take place in society today.

Special thanks to Joonbug for his amazing character designs. Check out his Fresh Kaufee brand at

    Opulent Destitute

A story about how easily fortunes can change

D - Denise was one of the many maids that Oscar mistreated and abused,

E emigrating from Cambodia, she was utterly humble without a short fuse.

S She believed in firm work ethic, operating three jobs to put food on the table,

T the epitome of daily grind, how ironic she now stood in front of the privileged unstable.

I Inheriting little more than her parents ambition, Denise paused as Oscar spoke,

T today, I sit in front you broken and lost; hopeful for a 20 from the pocket of your coat.

U Unable to initially reply, Denise recalled a similar 20 note being thrown at her head,

T take this but remember; wealth without work is worthless she said.

E Engulfed by boundless gratitude, Oscar had never before felt so rich or at peace.

O Oscar was an arrogant heir, who had never worked a day in his life,

P product of a wealthy environment, who could never fathom the meaning of strive.

U Until one day, when the stock markets crashed, and everything changed,

L losing his empire, Oscar was now forced onto the streets with his friends estranged.

E Everyone from his associates to his servants were made to feel beneath him,

N now it was his turn to feel inadequate, in a deep ocean of deficiency he couldnt swim.

T Trapped in his makeshift cardboard home, Oscar felt alone, until the day he saw Denise.

    Blood-Stained

A story about the vicious cycle of karma

If Sheila knew something but did nothing, would that make her guilty, just as guilty as Victor whos hands are blood-stained and filthy.

They say six degrees of separation connects us to the world,so that means her lies of pearl make her just as connected to the victim girl.

She stood and overheard a person she knew brag to his friends, confessing to a crime in the endz, committed in a broken down Benz.

Typifying ignorance is bliss , she unwittingly became an accomplice, walking past the cries from Miss Priss to go to school and accomplish.

But the miseducation of Sheila could not last forever, despite her endeavour to take multiple IQ tests to warrant her mind clever.

The same crime that Victor committed would soon come back to haunt, strolling home to flaunt, she was held and raped by the husband of her aunt.

Astonishingly, half way through the ordeal, her sister walked in,afraid that she might be next, she hurried her step and left her sibling.Left at the mercy of her uncle, all Sheila could do was cry and regret,

worry over lies, as she died inside staring at a man who was meant to protect.

With her prior knowledge without character, people might think whod believe her,

recalling the torment in a blur, she carried on as if things never were.In a sick twist of fate, things would once again come back,

as Sheila learnt Victors attack victim was her uncles first child called Jenny Mac.

Now isnt that something, if only Sheila had done the opposite of nothing.

    Eton Views

A story about social division in the class system

Put the politicians on minimum wage, like Christina and her Eton views.

Watch society change on the legal page.

Try having no job at a young, middle and old age, never sporting victory *Nike* since all you do is lose.

Put the politicians on minimum wage.

Make room for impolite polices to hit the stage,

if the poor stop painting life with dark blues. Watch society change on the legal page.

Chris tries to live despite povertys cage, providing for his son wearing tattered shoes.

Put the politicians on minimum wage.

But what if Christina and Chris sit down and engage,

discussing politics without principle in the evening news.Watch society change on the legal page.

If opportunities are measured by the same gauge, schools and jobs determined by the ones we choose,

put the politicians on minimum wage, and watch society change on the legal page.
