Vision 2020 Enrollment Report for February
The Lord blessed us with ten new enrollees in the month of February. The Vision 2020 goal is
for each class to enroll one new member each month. Seven of our classes met that goal by
enrolling one or more new member in February! In fact, three of those seven actually enrolled
two new members! Here are the classes that enrolled new members in February:
Babies (enrolled 2)
3rd & 4th Grade
College & Career Ladies
College & Career Men
Young Married (enrolled 2)
Single Again Senior Ladies
Pastor’s Class (enrolled 2)
Praise the Lord for ten new Sunday School members! We now have the opportunity to minister to, love, encourage,
and teach the Bible to those new members. Who can your class enroll in March? Wouldn’t it be spectacular to
have all of our Sunday School classes appear in that list next month? Let’s pray and work toward that goal.
Thank you for praying for unsaved and unchurched people to come to church on Easter and/or come to faith in Jesus
Christ. Prayer is essential in our efforts to reach people for Jesus. I’m reminded of James 5:16, which says, “The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man [person] availeth much.”
A total of 111 completed “6 for 6” prayer cards were laid on the altar Sunday! Those cards contain
the names or descriptions of 645 individuals or groups. Imagine what could happen as God’s people
get serious about praying for lost and unchurched people.
If you have not yet turned in your “6 for 6” card there is still time. You can bring yours and lay it on
the altar during any worship service. Additional cards are available in the Worship Center lobby.
Many of those in our circles of influence do not know our Savior. The need is great and the opportunity is real. Let’s
ask the Lord to use us as His instruments to reach the lost.

We are blessed to have a Children’s Choir program in our church. These are the type of songs our children are
learning. These will instruct and direct their lives in the future. Praise the Lord.
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Thank these workers with me: Christina Ellis, Shelby Elder, Vicki Hannon, and Erin McCloud. Thank you for
investing into the lives of our children. This choir meets every Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in room B110. If your child,
K5 - 5th grade, is not involved, please bring them for a fun time of singing and learning the truths of our Lord.

Peace in Christ Words and Music by Nik Day
There is peace in Christ when we learn of Him.
Feel the love He felt for us when He bore our sins.
Listen to His words. Let them come alive.
If we know Him as He is, there is peace in Christ.
There is peace in Christ when we walk with Him
through the streets of Galilee to Jerusalem.
Mend the broken hearts. Dry the tear-filled eyes.
When we live the way He lived, there is peace in Christ.
He gives us hope when hope is gone.
He gives us strength when we can’t go on.
He gives us shelter in the storms of life.
When there’s no peace on earth,
There is peace in Christ.
To God be the glory for an AWESOME D-NOW weekend!! We had 38 students signed up and
an army of volunteers all working to help our Youth tackle their fears and live courageously.
Looking back, we have spent months getting to this point. Once our theme for this year was
announced at the Memories & Dreams Banquet we have been talking about living courageously
as exampled in Joshua 1:9. In fact, we kicked off the new school year with a four week lesson on
being courageous. Since then, from time to time we would revisit the theme. So as D-NOW 2020
weekend approached it was time to put that courage into action. Tree top action was the name of
the game as our students took on the challenges of high rope adventures and excelled!! I am so
proud of their courage displayed and their behavior. Be sure to visit our “Safe Harbor
Morningside Youth” Facebook page to see a montage of our activities.
I also want to publicly thank our volunteers for giving up their time and energy to ensure we had a successful
D-NOW. A heartfelt thank you goes out to: Robbie & Marcia Dixon, Holden & Caroline Highsmith, Sarah
Craven, Emily Holton, Anna Joy Holton, Faith Johnson, Abi Tillman, Lindsay Hannon, Rebekah Tew,
Madison Tew, Samuel Harrell, Luke Hannon, Colton Jenkins, Hunter Broadway, Julie Holton, Scott Nichols,
Craig Jenkins, David Tew, Matthew Harrell, Ashley Tye, Lew Weathers, Judy & Hal Whilden, Tammy Hart,
and DJ Courson. You folks helped to keep us safe, engaged and having fun.
We now must practice living out courageously for God and we will continue to develop that from now through our
Summer Bible Camp which we depart for on Monday, June 15 – just 104 days from now!!
Keep the Faith!!
