B.K.NAGARAJ Chairman - Rotary Foundation Committee A Joint meeting with Rotary Club of Vijayapura was held at Nandi Hills on Sunday 20th March 2011. On the forward journey a visit to 450 year old Bhoga Nandishwara Swamy temple at Nandi Gram was organized. The meeting at Nandi hills started with invocation by Mr.Sriram, son in law of Rtn.S.Ramakrishna. Rtn.Vinay Kumar President of Rotary Club of Vijayapura, welcomed all the Rotarians and their families. He briefly explained activities of his club. President Rtn.M.Prabhudeva, handed over 2 sewing machines to Vijayapura Club for distribution to poor women. President also handed over ` 10,000 to distribute scholarships to poor students of Vijayapura School. Vijayapura Club hosted Lunch. Before returning members visited Yoga Nandishwara temple at the hills. It was an enjoyable picnic cum meeting for all Rotarians, Anns and Annets. Thanks to Rtn.Sreekumar who provided the Bus for journey Rotary Bangalore South has completed many community service projects. In recognition of the same, BBMP organised a function on 19th March, 2011 by BBMP divisional office at Yediyur. The Chief Guest, Sri R.Ashok, Hon’ble Minister for Home and Transport felicitated Rtn. Our New Member Rtn. Srini Srinvas
was the speaker for the weekly
meeting. He explained his experiences
in the space shuttle program through
a short film. He was introduced to the
audience by Rtn. Aradhya. He also
clarified various points raised by the
Rotarians.
