This Week’s Update Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Tomorrow is my last day for this term. I have some planned long
service leave. Term 2 has been very busy with many successes.
Our achievements in various areas are due to the dedicated staff,
our brilliant school community and the amazing students who love
learning and are proud to be students at TWPS.
I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my
children who are now aged 4 and 8. Where did that time go! TWPS
is my second family and I am grateful for the continued support.
Mrs Granville will be relieving principal and Mrs Boon will be
Deputy Principal. The school is in great hands!
Thank you to all our hard working dedicated teachers who promote
a love of learning and are open to feedback to improve! This learn-
ing culture is evident in my daily interactions with all staff whose
moral purpose is to engaged and challenge students in learning.
Uniform
Please see the success criteria for school uniform. Year 6 2018 there are
some variations that the Year 6 team will discuss with you. Sports uniform is
only warn once per week.
Kindergarten Monday
Years 1 and 2 Wednesday
Years 3 – 6 Friday
Fixed Playground Equipment
There is a delay in the installation of the fixed playground equipment. Due to
the recent wet weather our new playground equipment will not be installed
until after the school holidays. It will be fabulous once it arrives! Sorry about
the delay.
Have a great week.

Kindergarten and Year 1 Athletics Carnival Day
Our Kindy and year 1 students will be held on Friday 29 June and will be held at Oakleigh Oval starting at 9.15am. Our Support classes will also have a carnival held on the school oval.
All students will have a 100m race and then join in a couple of rotations of novelty athletic activities. Students will take their crunch and sip and a water bottle over for the morning.
Students may wear their sports colour shirt for the day.
Sturt – green
Flinders – red
Macquarie – yellow
Ruse – blue
This is a morning of such fun that students can share with each other, get in to the sporty action of their older peers earlier in the week. There is no cost for this event. Students have already completed permission to go to Oakleigh Oval.
Parents are most welcome to cheer us on and join in the fun!!
Basketball Knockout
Our boys and girls basketball team had a fantastic day of sport last week with Mr Gallie and Mrs Clay as managers.
The boys were successful with a 62012 win and the girls also winning 78-8!! Congratulations and well done on all of your hard work.. I hope teachers Vs Year 6 isn’t basketball this term!!!!!

With a few group photos being taken at different times, our school photographer would just like to remind families that groups photos of sport and co-curricular groups can be ordered. You can either pick up a cash envelope from the front office or use this code:

NAIDOC Week 2018 TWPS
The whole school has been working on some items to help celebrate NAIDOC Week. The
Drama Group are performing a short play called Our Mob, based on the Paul Kelly song
about Vincent Lingari. The rest of the school will be doing a bit of a Flash Mob at bell times
and then perform for each other later in the week.
It will be a great way to finish our term of drama. Next term we start rehearsing for our
Shakespeare plays, to be performed at the end of term 3.
Here are the YouTube addresses for the 3 songs.
