MISSIONARIES WITH WORD OF LIFE FELLOWSHIP CANADA, INC. Poland Update Thank you, thank you, thank you to each of you who prayed and gave financial support. The trip to Poland was truly lifechanging for myself and those I was able to minister to. I was able to teach God’s Word over 20 times in the 2 weeks I was there. A leadership training seminar for the camp staff, morning staff devotions, and camp Bible meetings were great chances to open God’s living Word! There were 84 teens that came to be ministered to, many of whom do not go to church. We saw 20 of these teens accept Christ as their Saviour and 14 of them dedicate their lives to Christ. The staff were pleased and very encouraged by what God is doing. Each of these youth will be connected to local churches and be discipled by members of the Word of Life ministry team. I was also able to share in special music, help teach sports, lead some activities and learn some Polish. This trip gave me great appreciation for God’s work around the world and impacted my life in many ways. I need to more diligently study and preach God’s Word and pray that God would send more workers into the vast harvest fields of the world. So many languages and so many cultures need to hear God’s Word! Greetings Everyone, 2009 has been a great year and we have seen God at work all around us. Be sure to check out the Boys’ Blog, Ministry Update, and Special Announcement sections on page 2 for more of those blessings. Stay tuned for R3 (Recent Recommended Resources) next letter. One of the greatest blessings was the opportunity to talk to Andrew last night (Dec. 15) about salvation. We have been trying very hard not to ‘push’ him and the other night God had obviously been working on his heart! We were talking about some bad words he had heard and the conversation ended up something like this: Daddy: Everyone that believes Jesus died and rose again for their sins goes to heaven with God. Andrew: (interrupting) I believe that! Daddy: (explains ABC’s of gospel—Admit you do bad things, Believe Jesus died and rose again for your sins, Confess or pray and tell God you are a sinner and you believe in Jesus). Andrew: Can I do that now? Daddy: Of course. Andrew: (without prompting Andrew prayed by himself) God I do bad things, I’m sorry, forgive me, I believe Jesus, Amen. Praise God for the work He is doing in the hearts of our boys. Melissa has had a number of ministry opportunities this Fall as well. Besides a constant ministry to the boys, Melissa has been helping with a Ladies night 1/month at our church and discipling our German student, Johanna 1/week. We look forward to seeing many of you at Salem Baptist Church, Sackville, NB on Sunday, December 27. Jon will be speaking and singing in the morning service. We are revising our mailing list again. Please let us know if you could help us save some postage by allowing us to email this letter. Email us at [email protected] to let us know your email address. Once again we want to thank each of our faithful prayer and financial supporters. Our support continues to hold steady by God’s gracious provision. Merry Christmas! Jonathan, Melissa, Andrew, & Jaydon Please Pray For travel safety to the East Coast this Christmas. For Jaydon’s salvation and Andrew’s growth in the Lord. For Melissa and the baby—health. For Jon—wisdom and balance for ministry opportunities. Support of the Bible Institute and Student Scholarship Fund. The Wards’ Writing DECEMBER 2009

Poland Update Thank you, thank you, thank you to each of you who prayed and gave financial support. The trip to Poland was truly life‐changing for myself and those I was able to minister to. I was able to teach God’s Word over 20 times in the 2 weeks I was there. A leadership training seminar for the camp staff, morning staff devotions, and camp Bible meetings were great chances to open God’s living Word! So many languages and so many cultures need to hear God’s Word!

Greetings Everyone,

2009 has been a great year and we have seen God at work all around us.

We were talking about some bad words he had heard and the conversation ended up something like this:

Daddy: Everyone that believes Jesus died and rose again for their sins goes to heaven with God.

Once again we want to thank each of our faithful prayer and financial supporters. Our support continues to hold steady by God’s gracious provision.

Our Ministry Update Bible Survey has been great! Many of you have heard that I have been asked to take on the teaching of the Bible Survey course. I teach 3 hours a week of Bible Survey and have been extremely blessed teaching through the Old Testament this Fall. God is so faithful, merciful, and loving as He patiently, graciously deals with His rebellious people!

Discipleship is growing—we have about 60% of our student body of 40 students that have volunteered to be involved in one‐on‐one discipleship with our staff. God has done and is continuing to do great things in the lives of this student body.

Richard Heppner, our Associate Dean of Ministries, is still raising support to be with us full‐time. The last report was 60% of his monthly support. His presence has been a great blessing to me as he takes responsibility for the Ministries Department. He has done a great job organizing and training students for ministry.

Special Announcement

Yes, both boys are wearing “BIG BROTHER” shirts. We are expecting another little one in June. We praise God for His will and timing. The boys are very excited. The debate is raging though—Andrew wants another boy and Jaydon wants a little girl (“for Mommy!”). Please pray for Melissa as she struggles with the sickness that goes along with her pregnancies.

“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD:

and the fruit of the womb is His reward.”

Psalm 127:3

This picture says it all…

The Boys’ Blog They say that pictures are worth a thousand words...

Andrew I got to go to Word of Life Camp this year as a day camper. I had a great time and really liked the Bible lessons Daddy did (no coercion, honest!), especially the illusions. Mommy and Daddy said they noticed I was different after camp, more confident and capable...whatever that means. Daddy and I went camping again this summer and I really like hiking back in the woods to work on our campsite. I also started JK this year and love learning about letters, numbers, and speaking in French. I like going to school and riding the

bus all by myself every Tuesday, Thursday, and some Fridays.

Jaydon I turned 3 in September and had a great party with a Transformers cake. I really miss Andrew when he goes to school. I can’t wait to go next September! I am enjoying the snow and helping Dad shovel the piles and piles that we have. I am excited for enough snow to build a

snow tunnel! Since Mommy and Daddy call me ‘little (Jay) bird’ I’ve learned to whistle. I love to tease Andrew with my whistling (because he can’t do it!). I whistle all the time! Daddy is very proud but Mommy says it drives her crazy and I need to learn a tune or something...

The boys invited some of the girls to the

Christmas banquet.

It was a great night!

(Johanna is on the right‐see pg. 1)

Would those of you that may be able pray about regular financial support of the Bible Institute General Fund or the Student Scholarship Fund? God is doing great things in the lives of our students. Please consider being a part of their education and growth in the knowledge of God’s Word and the development of their gifts to

serve Him.
