MORNING OFFERING TO THE SACRED HEART O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all our associates, and in particular for the intentions of our Holy Father for this month.

CONFESSION CONFESSIONS: Saturday (ONLY) 4:00—4:30 pm. LOCATION: on the rectory carport. PUBLIC MASSES: are being held Saturday Evening 5:00 pm and Sunday morning 7:30 and 9:30 am in church. Please, be aware to wear your mask and sit six feet apart from the next family. Weekday masses Wednesday thru Friday are being held in the church at 7:30 am. Mask are required to be worn at ALL Masses.

LIVE STREAM MASS † MASSES/our Saturday Evening Vigil Mass will be live stream at 5:00 pm on the St John the Evangelist Paducah Facebook page. Weekday Mass-es will be live stream: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 7:30 am. — Greeters to coordinate six feet of separation for congregants in every other pew. *There is entrance and exit strategy for parishioners. — Churches must be cleaned after every service. No hymnals or materi-als will be available in the pew.

GUUIDELINES OF WEEKEND MASS Bishop Medley has extended, until further notice, the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. Therefore, no one is required to attend Mass on Sunday or Saturday evening. However, the Sunday Mass is ESSENTIAL to our spiritual life. So if you go to the grocery or any big name businesses where there is a lot of people during the week......then why aren't you coming to Sunday Mass? You go to Mass not because we are obliged to attend BUT because the Sunday worship of God is some-thing we owe Him out of Justice and Love. Those who are considered to be at risk and those who may feel uncom-fortable attending a public Mass should worship from home. We will try to continue to live stream the Mass.

SOPHIA AWARD Do you know of someone in our parish that lives a life of stewardship (giving of time, talent and treasure)? We would love to honor her/him with a Sophia Award! Anyone sixty-five or older who has not previously received a Sophia Award is eligible for nomination (lay person - individual or married couple, member of a religious community or an ordained dea-con or priest). A person (living or deceased) can be nominated on past outstanding contributions. Please submit your form by July 15, 2020 by mail to: Cathy Hagan, McRaith Catholic Center, 600 Locust Street, Ow-ensboro, KY 42301. Forms may be picked up in the Gathering Space or at the Parish Office.

REOPENING OF PARISHES RULES/GUIDELINES

PLEASE CHECK OUR PARISH WEBITE EACH DAY

www.stjohnspaducah.com for any specifics of upcoming mass chang-es that maybe occurring. As we consider public masses resuming, we will be posting any current rules/guidelines as received from our diocese. Please share this in-formation with your family and friends that my not be connected to the internet or have the ability to text as to keep them updated.

Cont’d PARISH & COMMUNITY EVENTS MOBILE APPS FOR MASS Since we cannot have missalettes in church for the foreseeable future some people may want to think about an APP for your smart phone or mini tab-let. Here are a few suggestions that you might want to look into if you want something for the readings and Mass prayers. 1. Magnificat — (US Edition) 2. Universalis — this will not only be the Mass but it will also be the Litur-gy of the Hours. 3. IBreviary pro Terra Sancta —This will have the Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, and many other prayers. 4. Missale Romanum — This app can be difficult to navigate. Also the Mass readings will be a bit different because they are from Great Britain. WEEKDAY/WEEKEND MASSES — The 5:00 pm Vigil Mass on Saturday and 7:30 am and 9:30 am Mass on Sunday WILL BE INSIDE THE CHURCH. — Capacity of seating now according to the Governor's and the Bishop's Guide-lines will be 110. All households are required to sit 6ft apart. (the markings on the pews will help people see where they can sit). Once 110 people are in church, the doors will be locked and those people over 110 will be able to stand outside on the porch to attend Mass. — Masks and Social Distancing — Social Distancing (6ft-8ft) will be required for ALL. — Family members of the same house can sit together. — A MASK is required for ALL over the age of the age of 3 years old. — A mask is required for one to enter the church for Mass and must be worn throughout the Mass. * If individuals are uncomfortable or children are not mature enough to wear a mask for the entire liturgy, they should worship from home. * YOU ARE TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN MASK for MASS. The Parish WILL NOT be providing everyone a mask for every Mass. C0LLECTION * A collection basket will be at the church entrance at the Holy Water Font. Please place your Sunday Offerings in this basket as you enter church. HOLY COMMUNION * Only one side of the church at a time will go to Holy Communion with ALL maintaining a 6ft distance between one another in the Communion line. ** There will be NO Holy Communion on the tongue. ** ONLY HOLY COMMUNION in the HAND. FACE MASK Please keep your face mask in place until you receive Holy Commun-ion in your hand. Step to the side. Then remove the covering long enough to AT THE END OF MASS we ask that you exit the church a row at a time, beginning from the back at the directions of the USHERS. *PLEASE DO NOT congregate after Mass to talk, but go straight to your cars.

STEWARDSHIP

(Time, Talent, Treasure)“

Let all Your works give You thanks, O’ Lord, and let Your faithful ones bless You,” says the

Psalmist. Stewardship is this “attitude of gratitude” of the many gifts God has given us.

Amen.
