People have....... died for it(Huss, Jerome) while others have killed for it(the inquisition). It has inspired man’s greatest and noblest acts (Mother Theressa, MKJ, EGW), and yet it has been blamed for his (man’s) most damnable and degenerate acts (Apartheid, Nazism, Nationalism).

The Bible is the word of God, the Bread of life and the compass of our lives. In its pages you will find the joy and happiness of believers and the doom of sinners. We must read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, practice it to be holy and share it to bring salvation to others.

1 Peter 1:2 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.”

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Psalm 119:105 “Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”.

Page 13: The “Word of God”

It is all powerful:

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.

Page 15: The “Word of God”

It can purify our lives:

Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [thereto] according to thy word”.

The art of war: Sun Tzu“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” P51

Conclusion: “ None but those who have fortified their minds with thetruth of the scriptures will be able to stand during thelast great conflict” so... Give me the Bible...because..
