Smart phones have improved the way of our modern lives, making them better faster and more manageable.

SMART PHONES HAVE BECOME A RIGHTFUL NECESSITY TO THOSE WHO

UNDERSTAND THEIR TECHNOLOGY

There are many popular brands of smart phones, mainly being: BlackBerry HTC Nokia I-Phone Sony Ericsson Samsung They all have different but competitive features,

that are all incredible.

Competition for Smart phones:

BlackBerry and Nokia are the two smart phones that are most at competition.

BlackBerry: Released three different models of phones to

cater for the three demographics for their customers.

The BlackBerry Curve For the average citizen who cannot afford a

smart phone but wants the statues of owning a smart phone.

The higher versions:

The BlackBerry Bold: For the middle class citizen and as a few more advanced

smart phone features. The BlackBerry Torch That’s for the upper middle class and upper class, and has

even more additional features, targeting the business man and women.

The Nokia N8 Since Nokia is in competition with BlackBerry they found a

way to make a lot of profit from smart phone usage, without using a lot of input money, thus they produced the Nokia N8, which is affordable on various contracts for all demographic classes, but have the same and better features then the BlackBerry or any other phone on the market.

Our aim when doing research on the smart phones is to

incorporate whether: Smart phones effect productivity, communication in the

work place, social engagements and education:

Of course they are effective and in a positive manner.

Although there are a few negative aspects to smart phones such as:

High prices Business men and women over working Crime Less oral/personal communication and more

electronic communication. Cancer s-Brain tumor ( Glioma) that arises from

the Glial cells that provide physical support for the central nervous system.

Personal choice and opinion: These negatives are purely provided on ones

independent extensive usage of smart phones.

There's no existence of the modern world that we live in and

most of all enjoy without the usage of smart phones:

No development that wanted by many countries and individuals without new

technologies, one of these many technologies is: Smart phones

Economic development mostly from business productivity:

Send, receive and read e-mails on the go. Transfer huge amounts of money (cell phone banking) or

internet banking on your smart phone. Video phone calls: interviews can be conducted without the

parties involved being at the same place or even continent and no travelling money spent.

Advertisement can also be done through the smart phone just by logging into the websites for example Facebook through the smart phone and that is all done for free at the press of a few buttons

Groceries can also be done just by the touch of the button saving on fuel costs and time spent traveling to the various supermarkets.

Social

Crime: Most smart phones have trackers to track the stolen or lost phone.

Social networking: Your ale to access different internet chat sites and I-Ming (instant messaging) and you can access the famous Facebook which 44% of the worlds population uses, while only 29% use Twitter for social networking with people and family where ever they are in this world.

Not able to loose touch with loved ones and close friends all it takes is logging in and your ready to catch up on whats been happening.

Educational

Kids being able to download educational games with mathematics or even the co-ordination games namely Tetris and other games like type master that help the user of the smart phone to be able to get use to the typing keyboard faster.

When students are given assignments to do and they have no excess to the internet al they do is buy airtime and log into the net through their smart phones and they are able to retrieve all the info that they need.

Applications like e-book where readers can download novels from the internet and read them on their smart phones.

personally feel that smart phones play a big role in our lives and life styles, they are also very productive and without them life would be really slow and harder because of the distances some of us travel and the only means of communication with people back home is the smart phone, would you rather have it and not need it or need it and not have it, you decide
