Theatre on Ontario’s West Coast There is nothing like live theatre – the experience of a live performance can only happen once in a life time. Each time you see a play it’s your experience for ever. Summer means the best in live theatre from Canada’s Storyteller, the Blyth Festival to the Huron Country Playhouse, along with The Livery and the Town Hall Heritage Theatre too. The summer theatre season begins in June each year and runs to early September and each theatre sets the stage for your entertainment. Sample summer theatre at its best: spark your imagination and recharge your spirit with lively, intriguing and entertaining theatre in Huron County. Blyth Festival is celebrating its 37th year of creating and presenting Canadian theatre at its best. Over the years this charming theatre and skilled writers, actors and directors have created more than 106 world premieres, with many of these plays travelling to theatres all over the world. Huron Country Playhouse is a part of the Drayton Entertainment group of theatres located throughout southwestern Ontario. The lovely setting for the Playhouse adds a special note to attending this theatre, whether it’s a musical or contemporary comedy. The Livery theatre is an acoustical gem, renowned for intimate concerts and home to the Goderich Little Theatre company of passionate theatre folks in the area. The Town Hall Heritage Theatre, in Wingham, provides a wonderful array of concerts and celebrations of music from country to contemporary, with lively fiddle and step dancing events too. Other theatre events and celebrations are listed on the web pages with contact information and box office details: www.ontarioswestcoast.ca 24 1-888-524-8394 x3
