    The Gingerbread Man

Once upon a time, an old woman prepared dough to make gingerbread. She turned the dough into the shape of a man and baked it in the oven. When the old woman opened the oven, the gingerbread man jumped out and ran away.

On the way, the gingerbread man met a cow. The cow wanted to eat him up but she could not chase him. The gingerbread man kept running and soon met a horse. He also started chasing the gingerbread man but could

not catch him. The gingerbread man kept running and reached the bank of a river. He could not cross the river. A greedy fox offered to help him. He asked the gingerbread man to climb on his back. After some time he told him that the water was getting deeper so, he should get on to his head.

As the gingerbread man jumped on the fox’s head he quickly took him in his mouth and ate him.
