Soundtrack

• Clip 1- The first clip gives tense action vibe like as if

the picture is an investigation however it then turns to an intense horror vibe giving the picture more.

- The clip makes it seem like the guy is trying find info about the girl on the computer then suddenly walks in on him doing it.

• Clip 2- The clip sounds and seems like a family fairy-

tale romance as it has higher key piano pitch.

- It makes the picture look more positive as if the two people are in love.

ShiningFirstly they use a narrative voice explaining a simple positive plot which makes sense to the clips they have cut out. The voice is very jolly and happy and the story it explains a boy wanting a farther and a sad man wanting inspiration for his book. The story makes it an easy romance as the man will end up falling In love with the boys mother making the boys dream come true and the man is happy. The clips they find suit the narrative making it more sense to the fake plot. The music has is very positive and jolly which is very iconic with most classic family films. They also find voice clips which also suit the romance.

Scary MaryFirst they use a song which is from the film and add eerie sound effects such as a wind and bell sounds in background making the song more creepier. After every short clip they add titles such as “when the east wind blows…and the fog rolls in…she appears” which is a quote from the actual movie made scarier with ellipsis which creates tension. Soon after the quote “she appears” clips from the film are quickly shown one after the other making it hard to make out what is happening which makes more tension as the music becomes faster. Mary Poppins is an old movie and is quite dark tones making it add to the scariness.
