Romans 6:16-18: Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

Man has responsibility in his salvation 1 Peter 2:2 – “Like newborn babies,

crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation…”

Acts 2:40 -- With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."

But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Proper fear leads to righteousness Too comfortable with God leads to

abuse of relationship Keep the fear of God before your

eyes and obey Him. Every day we must work out our

salvation with FEAR AND TREMBLING!
