Maintenance Instructions
1. Since the introduction of the Therm-L-Bond doors, we have always used materialsthat are easily cleaned and or maintaned. It has been our aim to provide a productthat does not require a great deal of “in plant” work on a regular basis, to have thedoor perform well for many years.
2. The standard doors provided will have the following finishes, or have a combinationof these materials.a. White, smooth or embossed, painted steel.b. White embossed Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic.c. Stainless steel.
3. Trim, hardware and track are either Stainless Steel, extruded plastics or HighDensity plastic materials. In order to clean any of these finishes, we recommendthat the following cleaning solution be used.
A cup of soilax, or other common detergent, in five gallons of warm water. In greasy conditions, a cup of household ammonia may be added.
The use of stronger caustic solutions will VOID our Warranty.
4. Following the washing down of the unit, it is recommended that a light applicationof talcum, or similar material, be made to the seals.
5. On a monthly basis it is suggested that the following be adjusted:a. On all doors the fit of the door plug to the frame be checked to see if there
is any change in the gasket sealing. Adjust the door so that the plug lightlycompresses the gasket. Operate sliding doors, manually to check for easymotion during operation.
b. Ensure the limits are correct for electric doors. Adjust as necessary.c. Check that freezer doors have the heaters working. All doors are sent with
a light activated switchable circuit breaker connection box to 120 VAC. If thelight is not ON, then check to see if the breaker has tripped and needs to bereset.
d. Ensure the bottom gasket are in good order and sealing well.e. Wipe the track on sliding doors. Static will pick up dust and dirt.f. Adjust the floor wedges as required to maintain good seal.g. Activate electric doors in the closing mode and test Safety Edge.
