on the distinct strengths of each company. The partnership shall allow both
companies to achieve new levels of efficiency, effectiveness and customer

NEW PARTNERSHIPGENERAL ELECTRIC CANADA
As we approach the end of 2014, we are now more than 7 months
into the 2014/2015 trading year, and what a year it has been! Not
only have sales grown, but we have grown our footprint as well.
Since March, we have opened 10 new locations in North America,
and added more than 125 new employees to the CES / TES family.
This September we held our first North American Managers Conference, highlights of
which you will see featured in this edition of The Wire, bringing more than 700 members
of our senior management team into Dallas. The weekend proved a tremendous success
as we launched several new company wide initiatives, enjoyed time socializing with peers
from around North America and held our largest ever counter day.
Happy New Year! Thank you to everyone that has made 2014 a year to remember!

02Pinky the Clown – 3rd Generation
Andrea Smith, Accounts Receivable, NW
“I started about 6 years ago on my own.
Before that I had been periodically
shadowing my mom, Pockets the clown,
since I was about 20 yrs old. My grandfather,
Twinkletoes, started the business about 50
years ago. He was the president of the
Toronto Clown Alley, and since then it has
been a part of our family. He was a
magician and balloonist, and wrote a few
books on clowning throughout his life.
His sisters clowned, their kids, his wife (my
grandmother, Sweetpea), and his two kids…
my uncle, Bilbo the clown, and my mom.
I am officially the 3rd generation of clowns in
our family trying to keep the tradition alive.
I love kids, and I love to make them smile
and laugh. It’s a very rewarding business, on
many levels, and this is why I do it. Plus,
it makes our family get together more
interesting…as we can legitimately say we
are a bunch of clowns, just clowning around”

energy savings.
“Anaron took full advantage of Torbram Electric Supply’s free lighting audit. TES came
up with a solution that worked best for Anaron’s needs, providing much better lighting
and saving $1k per year in hydro and $1.5K in government rebates.”
- Aaron Loughran, Account Manager, TES Ottawa West Branch
“We had lights everywhere, trying to keep our plant bright. After the new fixtures were
in place, it is now brighter, with less fixtures and saves us money. Aaron from TES
was incredible, he followed the whole process through each phase. We could not
have done it without his assistance.”

Beware of Credit Card Fraud
Credit card fraud is a wide-ranging term for
theft and fraud committed using or involving a
payment card, such as a credit card or
debit card, as a fraudulent source of funds
in a transaction. The purpose may be to
obtain goods without paying, or to obtain
unauthorized funds from an account.
TES like all companies is open to attack
from credit card fraudsters, which recently
has been on the increase. Keeping in mind
this increasing trend in the industry, TES
effectively immediately will no longer take
payment by Visa over the phone for cash sales.

Safety/Precautionary Measures
WIRE WINDING MACHINE• NEVER turn your back to the wire on
the rack.
• Proper placement of the wire reels
on the racks to reduce the possibility of
reels coming off the racking while being
uncoiled.
• A “MAXIMUM” speed to be noted and
posted on the speed control of the ma-
chine to ensure that speed of operation
should not be an issue for any accident/
incident.
• Ensure adequate space between the
machine and the wire coils.
• Stand to the side of the machine when
operating the machine, without placing
oneself between the machine and the
wire rack/reels.
• If possible, have another employee
spot the operator to watch the reels
action, while the operator monitors the
progress/ position of the wire being
wound onto the machine.
