Being W.E.L.L. A Note from Johnny… We are getting closer and closer to Holy Week. I pray you will prepare your hearts and minds for the great day of celebration on Easter Sunday. is Sunday, we will turn our minds to Palm Sunday. I will preach a message entitled, “When the Cheering Stopped.” I believe this message will set your hearts in the direction for Easter Sunday. But, we will not stop here to prepare for Easter Sunday. On Maundy ursday, we will have several times for everyone to come to the worship area and participate in a time of Communion and Reflection. is time is when you can come as an individual or as a family, have a very quiet time around the Lord’s Table, and spend a few moments reading and reflecting on the scriptures. e times will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April, 21. If you are attending the 3R Luncheon, communion will also be served during the luncheon. I pray you will make time to worship during this very holy time. I can hardly wait to worship on Easter morning! e message will be tied into the scriptures and music. We will have a wonderful time of celebration for every follower of Christ. Let me add one more thing in the area of preparation for Easter. Take time during the week to read a portion about Jesus’ life on earth. Read about the Last Supper through the resurrection. Let’s all treat this final week as a time of great importance. ank you church for allowing me to go to hear my granddaughter sing last Sunday evening. Someone asked me if I enjoyed it. My response was, “It was the greatest music program I have ever heard!” I think all grandparents would do and say the same thing when their grandchild sings. By the way, get ready for our big children’s choir and mission night coming in a few weeks! You’re a great people and I thank you for allowing me to lead in the will of the Lord. Bro.
