Staff Organization 2014/2015
Hello parents & guardians, Our school year is at it’s end and I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all parents and guardians for being our partners in education throughout 2014/2015. We value your many contributions to your child’s education. The school year has been a fun and busy one and, once again, I feel very fortu-nate to have joined such a diverse and vibrant community of learners here at AJ. I look forward to see what next year will bring. Once again we have some staffing changes as we look ahead to 2015/2016. We welcome Mrs. Berardi and Ms. Robillard to the FDK team and we will be welcoming a few additional staff members in the Fall after hiring takes place over the summer. We are also making some changes to the organization within the walls of AJ with a particular eye towards changes in some of the ways we serve the needs of our Special Education students. We are continu-ously looking to ways we can improve our services and supports for the learn-ing of all AJ students. In addition, we continue to grow our library of technol-ogy and mobile devices as ways to enhance learning in the 21st century. On behalf of all AJ staff, I wish all AJ students and families a wonderful sum-mer break with both fun and relaxation. Our 2015/2016 theme is OPTIMISM and it is with that in mind that I look forward to welcoming everyone back to AJ on September 1st. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss anything about our amazing school. Happy Summer Amy Johnson, Principal [email protected]

Allergy Awareness
Looking ahead to September, AJC has four (4) students with life threatening peanut allergies as well as 1 student with a life threatening kiwi allergy. We continue to be a vigilant “Nut Aware” school and ask that you send peanut-free and kiwi frees snacks to AJC! Research indicates that most anaphylactic injuries and deaths come from cross-contamination, i.e. a trace of peanut butter that is left on a hand, a knife, a desk, on playground equipment or on another object. Your support and respect in this manner will help us keep the commu-nity of AJC as safe as possible.
SUMMER REGISTRATIONS During the months of July and August, families new to the County can register their children for school in September by calling the RCDSB Administration Office at 613-735-0151, ext. 2271 or going online at www.rcdsb.on.ca and completing the n-line registration questionnaire.
