Big Ben• Big Ben, built in 1858, is definitely one of the most iconic sights in

London. The official name of the tower is Elizabeth Tower, however, it is mostly known worldwide as Big Ben. The tower can be seen in pictures all around the world and is often used to denote London the same way the Eiffel Tower is used to denote Paris.

Any time you see London mentioned in the news or the movies, you’re likely to see a shot of the Big Ben. It is a great sight to behold and one of the places where you have to go if you’re visiting London. The insides of the tower are closed to the public and it is only possible to go inside with a visit arranged by a Member of Parliament for residents only.

Tower Bridge

• One of the most famous icons of London, Tower Bridge is definitely a must see for anyone visiting London. The bridge is suspended over the famous River Thames and is a very popular attraction for tourists and locals alike. The bridge was originally opened in 1894 and has been very well maintained over the years. The Tower Bridge has been a popular tourist attraction ever since its construction started.

The best part about visiting the Tower Bridge is that there are multiple ways you can enjoy it. You can observe it from the sidelines and take iconic photographs. You should also definitely visit the walkways on top of the towers. You’ll get a view of London like no other and will be able to truly take in the amazing history of London. There is even a glass floor on the walkway so you can look down at London life from up high.

London Eye

• London Eye is the name of the giant Ferris wheel in London. The landmark is so ubiquitous that we are sure you must have seen it in pictures or videos already. It is one of the most well known landmarks in London which is an impressive feat in such an old city considering that the wheel was opened to the public in 2000. The London Eye has one function and it does it better than anything else; it allows you to get a view of all of London. All the other famous landmarks can be seen easily from the Eye.

If you really want to take in how amazing the city of London is then get a ticket and go to the top. Do remember that it is a very popular tourist attraction and you will have to stand in the lines for a long time to be able to get a ticket and another long line to be able to ride the eye. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets beforehand so your experience is great. It was also known as the Millennium Wheel since the first test drive for it happened on December 31st, 1999. The wheel moves slowly and takes 30 minutes to complete a revolution. This gives you enough time to truly take in the amazing view of the city.
