2. PROGRAMME AND PROGRESS
2.1 Classroom anid Toilet Blocks
As at writing this report, the following works have been completed in each of the
project sites:
2.1.1 Bakoteh Annex (1Classroom Block and lToilet Block)
The followinig works were accomplishied durinig tihis period of reporting:
a. Site clearing and removal of top soilb. Excavation of foundationc. Application of AnIti-Termite treatmentd. Pouring lean concrete to foundatione. Fixing of baskets and starter barsf. Pouring of concrete (1:2:4 mix ratio) to foundationg. Laying of blocks to foundationh. Building of site olfice, store and slied For blocks curing
2.1.1.1 Shortfalla. Signboards have not been erected.b. Work behind schedule for some 14 days.
2.1.1.2 Drawings
There have been no major modifications on the original design. Work proceeded
according to the original design except for minior chaniges to the distant between
center of one column to center of another (7400 to 7300).

Construction work moved satisfactorily, Work on the whole is satisfactory.
2.1.1.4 Time Frame
According to the revised works programme work is behind schedule.
2.1.2 New Jeshwang (tClassroom Block and IToilet Block)
The following works were accomplished during this period of reporting:
a. Site clearing, felling of trees and removal of topsoil
b. Excavation of foundationc. Application of Anti-Tennite solutiond. lPouring lean concrete to foundatione. Fixing of baskets and starter barsf. Pouring of concrete (1:2:4 mix ratio) to fountdation

d. Pouring lean concrete to foundation to Block A
e. Fixing of baskets and starter bars to Block A
f. Pouring of concrete (1:2:4 mix ratio) to foundationi of Block A
g. Laying of blocks to foundation of Block A
h. Building of site office and store.

2.2 Fabrication of Steel Roof Trusses, Pulins, Doors and Windows
As at writing this report, the Sub-Conitactors METI ALEX and YEMGAFEnterprises Limited have fabricated a good number of tile steel trisses, pulinis,
doors and windows.

As at writing this report, the Sub-Contractor (METALEX) has not fabricated
samples that can be inspected and proved righlt.
3. PRINCIPAL FUTURE ACTIVITIESThe principal future activities and decision necessary to be taken in the near
futurc to complete the project according to the programme are listed below under
the name of the organization whiich is responsible.
3.1 Gamworks Agenicy
a. To ensure timely payments of contractors dues when interim certificates are
submitted.
3.2 Contractorsa. To get tlheir signboards manufactured and erected, and tlhe site offices
constructed.b. Must constantly keep to the design an(d speci fications.c. To prepare and forward tileir revised works programmes for effective results.
3.3 BOMON ASSOCIATESa. To carry out proper supervision of tihe works according to the design and
Specifications.b. To preparc interim certificates and other relevant certificates.c. To prepare variation order fonns For additional works to be approved by
Gamworks.d. Inspect and approve samples of steel works and classmDom furniture fabricated.

4. MINUTES OF MEETINGS
4.1 Monthly Progress Meetings
T he monthly progress meetings are convened at the site. T he representatives of
Gamworks Agency, Education, the Consultant and the Contractors attended these
meetings. Minutes of the meetings are attached to this report.
4.3 Weekly Site Meetings
Weekly site meetings arc convenied once a week and are attended by our Clerk of
Works and the Contractor or his representative. At times our Regiolial Coordinator
who regularly visit the sites also attend such meetings. During these meetings, the
progress of the works is discussed and any other matters which arise during the
course of implementation of the works. Minutes of these meetings are attached for
your perusal.

5.2 '[he Contractor explained that a good (uantity of steel rods andcement has beefi bought but not kept oni the site to avoid being stolen.I-Ie explained liat tlhere was (lelay in getting the basalt due to theunrest after the matclh between Gaambia anid Senegal.
6.0 STRUCTURAL/CIVIL ENGINEERING MATTERS

4.1 A Revised Work Programme was available but work is not moving as GFCC
scileduled. T'he Contractor was asked to put inore lime on the job.

washied stone and sand were in higlh demnaid.
