A big THANK YOU to all the parishioners and vis-iting parishioners who brought in donations for

the Food Pantry at the Thanksgiving day Mass. Your donations and generosity are a blessing to our Food Pantry and the church as a whole. We are grateful for your kindness and how graciously you share your abundance. Thank you!

St. Vincent de Paul - Changing Lives Forever

Instead of constantly just giving things to people, let’s contin-

ue to do our charity work, but let’s add value to that, and give folks a way to literally change their lives. Many of our

efforts involve helping people with short term solutions to their needs instead of helping to eliminate their need. One

way to provide long term help is a learning opportunity called Changing Lives Forever.

The program is a sixteen week class with twelve participants

(Investigators). After the course, the “investigators” will be

paired with a mentor through the Indianapolis Trusted Mentor program for a year of additional advice and support.

We are in the process of developing a core team of people to assist in making meals for the classes, marketing the pro-gram, babysitting and recruiting mentors, etc. We also need

sponsors in our community to financially support the program so that we can continue the work for years to come.

We are in the process of recruiting “investigators” and hope

to have 12 by the time the next program starts. If you know of anyone who might benefit from this program or if are in-

terested in joining our core team, please call/text Paul Guenin

at 317-627-2309,or [email protected].

Do you have a willingness to help others, share skills, and knowledge? Do you have a positive attitude? Are you enthu-

siastic with strong Christian values? Can you provide con-structive feedback and are you respectful? We are looking for

people like you! We still need Mentors for our next class of “investigators”. Please consider becoming a mentor. Addi-

tional information on mentoring is available at - http://

Nursing Home Visitation

Please contact Flora Villanueva at [email protected], if you would like to join

us. The holiday season can be especially

lonely for people, visits are always wel-comed. More volunteers would allow us to schedule more

visits to more facilities.

Prepare Decorating, shopping, cooking, Wrapping, sending cards of love, Dinner parties, family gathering, Traveling, and on and on, preparing For the big day. Time becomes a precious commodity. Silence, prayer, spiritual reading, Listening to the Holy Spirit can Become lost and the words of the Prophet may not be heard: Prepare the way of the Lord.
