NOBLE GESTUREOur CFS staff, Mr. R.Marichamy has made us all proud by his noble gesture by giving
his approval to Sankara Nethralaya for donating his & his wife’s eyes. Team CCT is in-
deed proud of his great thought and deed.
In India, we have an estimated 4.6 million people with corneal blindness that is
curable through corneal transplantation made possible by eye donation. More than 90% of the corneal transplantation is carried out successfully and helps restore vision
in people with corneal blindness. Corneal transplantation in infants born with cloudy
cornea can make a big difference to their lives.

World Water Day - 22.03.2011, Theme –“Water for Cities”
International World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing
attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable
management of freshwater resources.

Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). The United Nations

Cities will have to respond with the principle that water is first and foremost a human right. Some water for all rather than all water for some would need to be a goal. The
regular, timely, sufficient water of good quality will not only ensure good health of
citizens but also help make them economically productive and have an enhanced quality of life with an ability to pursue better quality in their living standards.
